Where to stay for New Year

Hi
I've left booking a hotel a bit late, coming to Patong 30th Dec, back to Bangkok 6th Jan.
C&N Hotel, Swiss Garden and Orchide Residence are full.
Replies from Victoria Guest House near Soi Patong Tower has a small room available for the first few days, with maybe a larger room later, and Capricorn Village in Rat-u-thit has rooms at 1,000 baht a night.
I'm waiting to hear from Orchid Guesthouse in Soi Saensabai, and from the Expat in Soi Sunset.
Anyone know the Victoria or Capricorn Village. Any other recommendations in the 1500 baht / night range, within 10-minute walk of Soi Bangla?
Thanks
Nick

I've got 5 days in the Expat 30th December - 3rd Jan. When I enquired about extending the stay, they told me there was no need to book as there would probably be room. Expat is not as popular as it used to be. I intend to look around for somewhere else once I arrive in Patong.

Or www.stoneymondayhotels.com

The owner or part owner is a BM (Onlocation) and he said they will give 10% discounts for BMs off the websire price.

Stoney Monday is more like a 10min jog to get to Bangla

Well if you have legs like Peter Crouch you might make it in 10mins

Dawsey is right, Its more like a 15/20min walk away from Bangla or 2mins in a Tuk-Tuk

If you are really struggling for a place to stay, then why not get a bar girl, and before you bar fine her, tell her you want to stay at her place . If she shags you for 1,000 baht then you have had free accomodation and a fcuk !

Ask around when you arrive. Even in peak season, someone ALWAYS knows somewhere to stay, if you are not too fussy about mod cons like air con, hot water etc.
