I'm taking in an evening of Muay Thai while in BKK.Is there a preferred venue for watching the fights.Lumpini or Ratchadamnoen?I've looked at fight scedules and I could go to one of these on either a sunday,monday or tuesday.I read somewhere that the sunday night fights were not as competitive at Ratchdamnoen?Any insight would be helpful.

Also does anyone have any advice on seating.Some seem to prefer the cheap seats over the ringside ones since theres a lot of excitement in the crowd but I'd like to hear some BM opinions.

BTW that's November 6,7 or 8 I'm going if anyone is in town and up for an event.They start around 18:30 hrs till 21:30 hrs so they're over in good time to hit the bars.

Coming there the 5th nov and will leave the 8th so some of these days I´ll go to lumpini since the best fights should be there, a friend of mine who were there said that the sundayfights are more for tourists and not the real deal he also took a cheap not ringside seat and says the excitement were great with thai´s screaming at every hit and betting their money.

I´m going to Lumpini at Tuesday.Hope to see some nice fights

first visit i went to limpini stadium.
went in the very cheap seats ,we were the only farangs there all the rest were ring side (1000bht a seat)
but we only paid i think 300bht but the excitment among the thai men who were betting was great. but i think they will not bet with farangs ,so i was told by i think one of the security men.
saturday nights i belive are the real deal

I know this is a little too late now, but either place is fine in my opinion, the best matches always seem to be on random nights for me. Don't bother with first class, tourist rip-off seats, just get 2nd class tickets and sit on the benches to get a Thai perspective and save some beer money...
