New York Steakhouse
this is in the JW Marriott hotel. ive made about 10 reservations there over theh years and never made any of them.
i finally went last night. it was fantastic! gorgeous restaurant. very pricey, ill get to that in a minute.
i ordered the seafood tower for appertizer, oysters, lobster tail, mussels, shrimp. great
i ordered the surf and turf for Ao because i wanted to lobster and i ordered the kobe beef.
a few side dishes, drinks and dessert.
we get the bill,i ask Ao what she thinks.
her guess:7000baht
my guess:6500baht
the bill:10250baht! she almost fell off her chair. im not even joking,i thought she was going to die.
i guess i have to look at prices more close. anyways, great meal, way too expensive. so if you have cash to burn, and want a greta steak dinner, go there

I have to agree that the New York Steak House is probably the best steak I've had in Thailand and can compete with most here in New York City. By the way it's still cheaper than most in the NY city.

Probably not in the same class,
but Bourbon Street behind Washington Square. Basically a Cajun restaurant Do not remember prices. Do know it is one of the few American Restaurants own and ran by Americans.

Is Washington Square a restaurant or an area in BKK? I haven't been there or heard about it before... where is it located?

What !!! There are no Swedes in Denmark.
The rutabaga or swede or (yellow) turnip (Brassica napobrassica, or Brassica
napus var. napobrassica) is a root vegetable, closely related to the cabbage and the (white) turnip . Its leaves may also be eaten as a leaf vegetable.
"Rutabaga" (from dialectal Swedish rotabagge) is the American term, "swede" is the English term. It is also known as the "Swedish turnip" or "yellow turnip",
and Scots call it the "neep" or just "turnip" — the vegetable known elsewhere as a turnip being called a "white turnip" in Scotland, and in the U.S., where
rutabagas may also be called "yellow turnips." In Newfoundland white turnips are relatively unknown, with rutabagas being known simply as turnips.
