Hello all

I have a friend coming to visit next month and he wants to rent a big motorbike. He's looking for a supersport such as a GSXR, CBR, Ninja, R1 etc for a month if the price is right. Does anyone know where he can rent one in Bangkok?

Confuscious say, man who walk sideways through airport is going to Bangkok...

You might be better of asking on a Bangkok specific board as the knowledge here is targetted at Phuket

hope he has a good insurance !tell nim that "rough guides"do a good insurance which covers using big cc m/cycles
(others only cover up to 125cc) but only providing the have passed the relevant test in there own country and have their licence with them as proof
riding in bkk is extremely hazardous for a farang
when i was in pattaya last i saw a tourist killed on a big bike
in phuket its about 900bht a day for a big cc bike, so its probably a bit less in bkk and a one month deal would be even cheaper cheers

To my knowledge the closest place to BKK where you can actually rent a big bike is in Pattaya. BKK has too much traffic for big bikes, so your best to stick with the little ones or just take public transportation.

Bikes in general are death traps in BKK, I dont know a single Thai person that doesn't have permanant scars from bike accidents. Why take the risk of ruining your vacation?

I even hate driving a car in Bangkok, but sometimes I have no option.
