My mind was elsewhere when I made my list and restaurants did not pop up. That being said my top pick for restaurant in Bangkok is the Sirocco. It is the highest rooftop restaurant in the world (66th floor). It is located on Silom Rd near the river. The view are amazing and the food is awesome. The pre-dinner cocktail area makes you want to wait an hour for a table. This restaurant is a bit price, figure 3000 baht per person including a few before dinner cocktails. I believe you can go there just for the cocktails, but not sure.

No, I tried to get that information from the website, but it wasn't available (or I could not find it). Perhaps Insomniac can help.
Edit: Did a little Google search. The best I can find is that weekday supper is about 800-1000 baht. Cocktails 200 bath. There may be a cover of 500 bath, including 2 cocktails.

Not 100% sure about the prices but I believe regular day entrance fee for the club is 600 THB including 2 drinks. Special events and weekends can be higher. Also I believe the regular price for dinner is 1250 THB for a regular night 3 course menu.
As for Sirrocco... Would estimate a higher amount than 3000THB per head. This will give you the most meagre drink and meal. Only a bottle of wine will set you back quit a bit more... Maincourses starting around 700 THB.

Entrance to bed is 600 bht, which gives you two drinks. Once inside if you're in a group i suggest you buy a bottle, it will save you money in the long run. Otherwise you'll be paying 150 - 300 baht a drink. A bottle of Johnny black i think was 1800 or somewhere along those lines... group of four divide by 4 = 450 bht each plus entrance = 1050, if you buy a bottle at the door, it covers 2 person's cover charge and i think they will keep the bottle for you for 2 months, so if you're a regular to bkk and to bed then buy a bottle.

A bottle of Black for 1800?
You might mean 2800? But I believe it is actually 3000 already.
Best to buy a bottle at the door. Entrance fee is then waved for you and, I believe, max 3 more friends.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news!
Has been like this for a while already....
Compare Q Bar. Also 3000 THB for Black. Was 2800 for almost 2 years before that. Bottle of Stolichnaya 2800... etc. etc.
Regular drinks at those clubs are 180/200 THB. Cocktails from 220 to 300 and more for more 'exclusive' cocktails and/or brands.
They keep the bottle for 1 month. This due to the fact that 'working girls' were entering for 2 months on the purchase of 1 bottle........

I am supprised the Q-Bar has not been mentioned more. Is the Bed Supper club really that much better??
Judging by the pics on another post, the Q-Bar looks unreal!

They are both the same IMHO. The Bed place is actually a knockoff of a place we have in South Beach (Miami Beach area), only the one here is 10 times the size as in Bangkok.
Incidentally, here's a great website regarding bars/discos for all the road warriors out there
Bars, Cocktail Lounges and Cool Pubs around the World

Q-Bar is great, a must see. Great mix of people and a great atmosphere. I'll check out Bed Supperclub in 2 weeks and provide a field report.

I would not dare to say that Q and Bed are the same.... Very different atmosphere and public in my opinion. I would prefer Q anyday over Bed, for better drinks, better service, better atmosphere etc.
It is correct that Bed is a copied product. Not from Miami though but from the Supperclub in Amsterdam. Locations in Miami, Rome and others are related to the Amsterdam company. The owners from Bed in Bangkok would have loved to expand to ie Singapore but they can not do so because of copyright problems, something you can just walk away from in Thailand...
Bed is sometimes in Bangkok described as a copy product for fake people..... Make of it what you want but it gives an indication to what you can expect. Food/dinner experience at Bed is great though. Good food and relaxed atmosphere and nice experience.

Q-bar is good too, more fl's in q bar. Music is different in Q as well. Just depends on what you're looking for... Bed has a "cleaner" atmosphere, although my only problem with bed is the lighting... Probably one of the brightest clubs i've been to.

Of course this is highly opinionative, but i prefer the drinks in bed... :embarrassed:
I don't think they would survive in singapore... There is no customer loyalty in that place... Singapore is probably one of the last places i would set up a restaurant/bar/nightclub just my opinion of course.

The 2 places i really have enjoyed drinking were the Dollhouse in Soi Cowboy...Personally i have always felt relaxed in there and enjoyed just chatting to my mates and having a few beers.... And the Superstar in Patpong... Again, for patpong, i have been able to relax... Which i have never really done in Patpong. But they are my 2 drinking holes and love them although i am gonna look for a new one to try.

Dollhouse gets my thumbs up too... Girls and Mamasan not overly pushy... The girls seemed to be genuinely having a laugh and looked happy and Smilely... I barfined one and we had a great laugh with her for LT... The Long gun in cowboy was a cool place too...
I thought that a lot of the girls in the Gogos in NEP looked miserable (no reason to avoid it though, thats a very general observation!)...
