Need A Bar
just need a few ideas really cus i don't know bangkok to well, only spent a little time there.
The thing is i will be flying into bangkok from cyprus with a mate and i have to wait 3 hrs for a flight from london to arrive which has another mate on it, then we will all get a taxi to pattaya together. We wanna go and have a few beers when we wait... where would you recommend to go for the 3 hrs, i know all the usual areas like nana, cow-boy, pat-pong and khaosan rd, but which one is the closest to the airport or is there any other areas around there.. also where is the left luggage in bangkok airport. and how much is it for a few hours. thanks for your help.

I have a preferance for the place opposite Nanaplaza for a daytime drink, but there may be better places. Only about 20mins in a taxi, and you can leave your luggage in the airport.
Why not stay at the airport? There is a half-decent place at the top of the escalator in departures. Food ok, cold ones ok, TV if you want to watch cartoons and plenty of girls to look at.

The little heartbreak scenarios as boyfriend gets squeezed for a few more baht before leaving, the thoroughly agreeable notion that once the BF is on the plane then maybe she is short of company for a couple of hours? Endless entertainment really.

Got to agree, spent many a happy hour up there people watching with a beer sing
Why chase to Nana, just to have to chase back? Or tell your mate which bar in BKK you are and have him collect you.

For a 3 hour wait it sounds like more hassle to go anywhere. Airport bar is the easiest option by far ( well i am lazy so i would say that)

There is another bar on the pavement outside the local terminal by the airport bus stop.
The taxi's also stop there for your taxi to pattaya
