Dynasty Inn Grande
I'm in Bangkok at the moment staying in the new Dynasty Inn in Sukhumvit Soi 6. Just thought I'd post and recommend the hotel to everyone as I don't think that many people know about it yet. I'm paying 1800 a night for a brand new room with a large tv, a leather sofa plus other really nice furniture and fittings. My bathroom is very big with both a walk in shower and a bath. I won't be staying in Soi 4 again anyway

Hi Jim,
Paul told me that you were going to be in BKK at the same time. We just got our res confimed at Destiny Inn Grande.
work in El Segundo and live off of 190th street and prospect in Redondo Beach.
Yes we will definitely tip back a few cold ones. I get in earlier than Paul on April 7 so not sure when you get there but we can get together before he comes in if you want to.

Sorry Jim, ignore this marc26 corrected me below...... !
Hi jimbulljag,
I have booked to stay a few days in Manhattan, what's it like. Is the noise of construction work bearable, easy to get guests in, how is bath/shower, large bed, in-room safe Ok (electronic or key operated). I booked standard room so hope it's OK for a few days....

Hmmmmm, I have between 12 and 7 hours by myself in BKK depending upon which flight I get from Singapore. What will I do? Take a Nap, yeah right. I guess I will be the advance scouting party.

or maybe I can go over to Nana or Patpong, find three stunners, and go back to the hotel and you will have a present waiting for you when you get in.
And I will make sure that they are warmed up and waiting for you after a test drive.

hit the ground running. Never have a problem going out the first night. Maybe I will just grab 1 go go girl then, have some fun, then meet you for a cruise of the Nana parking lot for an FL lady or 2 to join the sleeping go go dancer.
Then the soapy the next day instead of a shower.

but i'm a tourist
It will be cool to hit the ground runnin' when i get in... just need to balance the drinking and sleeping ratio on the flight. I thought that i might do the tourist run to the river, wats, and palace lol. Maybe try to do that on monday or at least buy pictures.
Thought i was in a scene from blade runner when the taxi pulled up to nana hotel last time. didn't get my wits about me till i got to the beer garden the next afternoon. think i get it now....drink, eat, shower, f***, and repeat in whatever order needed.
getting excited but haven't told any of the girls i'm dating that i'm off in a few weeks...business trip? should be some interesting reactions.

You know that exact thought was one of the things that made me fall in love with SE Asia and Thailand..
Was on my second tour.. In BKK.. Drunk(ish) at 5 or later am.. The city was still humming and buzzing.. Girls strutting on the sidewalks in very little.. etc.. I was in a noodle stall with someone and it had a major rainstorm..
All the neon, nightlife, alien sights and sounds, the gui tiow (alien food for me then), the heat, humidity, and rain and the noodle stall old guy blabbing on.. All felt very blade runner was my exact feeling..
Left there grinning like an idiot in the rain.

No in-room Internet Service?
The Dynasty Grand sounded good until I read about the rooms not having Internet access. I'm thinking about booking two nights to start with at the President-Solitare. They have in-room unlimited Internet access and Airport Pick-up. I can get a two night package for about $198 with all taxes according to my suspect arithmetic. Any better suggestions?

Stayed at the Dynasty Inn Grande for 3 days at the end of March. I would very much recommend this hotel. First boooked a large room at the Dynasty Inn on Soi 4. Once I saw that room, I walked over to the Dynasty Inn Grande on Soi 6. The rooms are much larger and nicer. They do have Wi-Fi in the lobby. Just try to get a room not facing the pool area and the 2nd wing still under construction. You may get some noise in the morning if you face the 2nd wing under construction. I had a room facing the pool and the 2nd wing but I didn't have any noise that bother me in the morning.
I would stay here again. The price is affordable and rooms were great. Very friendly front staff. Only downside is just a slight walk from Nana plaza or BTS Nana.

A Best Kept Secret
I have stayed at this hotel at least 4 times. It is a good hotel. Close to shopping, restaurants, the BTS and nightlife but far enough away from the hustle and bustle.
The rooms are more than adequate and very well maintained. The hotel bar and restaurant are excellent and the staff very friendly.
Their are at least 4 Wi-Fi stations in the lobby (not free).
The best part is the value. Appox 1800BHT/night.
Highly recommend.

Im actually staying here right now great hotel not on the level of the bigger ones ie majestic grande etc , but then agin the price is a fair bit cheaper at 2280 baht per night no breakfast but who even gets up in time ????
I rate this hotel the room, facilities staff, the gym etc and is very well located i will be staying in the grand sukumvit to treat myself at the end of my trip but the dynasty is a very very good value hotel IMO

I will give another vote for Dynasty Grande. BTW, they are GF for 1 girl - N/C. Each additional is 500 baht extra.
