thanks , we were going to book the Landmark and Le meridien in phuket but are struggling to find a tour company that does both , may look at sorting things independently but flights seem very expensive

Personally I prefer the Pres. Solitaire to the Westin, JW Marriott etc. The location is a little further out of the way (just around the corner from Qbar) and, being a serviced apartment, it can't compete with the facilities of the 5 star hotels but the rooms more than make up for this. For slightly less than you'd get the Westin through priceline you get a much bigger room, free WiFi, a 42" plasma screen TV, DVD player and a bed that can comfortably sleep 4

Voor een groot gedeelte met West eens...

Maar, als ik het orginele lijstje zie dan zou ik kiezen voor de Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit.......

None of the plusher hotels on Sukh charge a joiner fee to my knowledge. The Marriott, Westin, Landmark, Sheraton, Maj Grande and Pres Solitaire definitely don't.

I would go for JW Marriot before Landmark.
Both exelent hotels but the swimming pool and the relaxing area at JW are
top.
And they have some very good restaurants too.
Both hotels have a great Fitness facilities / Gym maybee Landmark little better at that .

Yeah the thing with the lifts does suck.. also these lifts must be the slowest lifts in the world.. man it is annoying to wait for them sometimes.

I stayed at Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit and booked there already for my next trip.

By the way, they don't have a joiner fee.
