Thinking of a trip to Bangkok......how long !!
Hi fellas!!
Thinking of a trip to Bangkok......how long should be more than enough to get exhausted and think of home.
Is November any bad time to visit?

Callyourdimps, (first post)
It is generally considered good "manners", to give a brief intro, of yourself, when making your initial post.
Nonetheless, WELCOME to the forum!
I personally, get "tired", of Bangkok, after about 3 to 4 days. It's just a little too "busy", "loud", and dirty", for my tastes. I prefer "chilling", a bit more in Phuket. (I'm only good in Pattaya, for about 7 day's)

Where's your final destination, then we maybe able to suggest some flight options for you.

Was in bangkok for 4 nights 5 days last trip,if only looking at bangkok reckon thats enough is very busy much busier than any australian city.
next trip going to spend 7 nights bangkok but want to do some side trips from there.
Either fly via singapore or KL to phuket or bangkok these are the most common stopovers.

In that case, then you should look at Singapore Airlines with a stopover in Singapore. You could then just buy a Singapore/Phuket/Singapore ticket with Tiger or Jetstar Asia online. This assumes that you want to go to Phuket, otherwise if Bangkok is your preferred stopover then fly Thai.
Have a look at these web sites
www.tigerairways.com
www.jetstarasia.com

The taxi drivers from the airport know the Patong area very well, just make yourself sort of familiar with the area, like where your hotel is, by looking at maps online.
Dont worry about the girls, when your new half the fun is with the language barrier. Most of them do have a reasonable handle of english though. Dont worry about it so much, just go with the flow. Make your first port of call the Mai Thai bar in Soi Eric and meet up with some of the other BM's there, they will see you right.

Well guy, I have never missed home when I've been over there so I can't answer yer question.
If I were retired I'd still be there. Wouldn't come home. Hope that answers your question mate

Hello and welcome to the board.
5 days in bangkok is about enough (It drives me mad after 4) there is a lot to do depending on what your intrested in.
Bangkok is a good hub from which to explore the country. You can get flights north and south on various airlines so if you do get fed up with Bangkok then at least you have a few options on where to go.
I have heard that chaing mai is nice to visit (never been myself so i cant comment)
Phuket is great very relaxing place and IMHO nowhere near as pushy as Bangkok
If you decide you want to saty in Bangkok you have a lot of areas just outside the Bangkok region in which to explore aswell.
Really depends on what your happiest doing
