Not the Zenith so Royal Asia Lodge? (and Football)

My first post and to be honest it's a bit lame but I could do with some advice. I have been visiting Thailand for years now and when in BKK have always stayed at the Zenith Hotel (and before when it was called the Hampton Inn) on Soi 3. Am returning again in a couple of weeks before going on to Pattaya for much deserved R and R. However, Zenith is deffo not guest friendly and is err..a bit Middle Eastern nowadays. So I am planning to save some money and stay at the Royal Asia Lodge. Can anyone tell me if that is a good plan? AND is Gullivers a good as place as any to watch World Cup football? Cheers, Dazed.

Thanks GeorgeLondon. Maybe no one knows about the Hotel or else finds the question so dull that they (rightly) can't be bothered to reply. I'll post a thread about the place once I've stayed there. And I will head over to Gullivers for some football.
