Lao And Issan Food In Sukhumvit Road Area

HI guys my g/f has only one major fault she insisits on wanting lao and issan food only i know good places to go in patts and patong but dont have a clue about bangkok as i am usually a jools bar or beer garden man could anyone tell me of any good places in sukhumvit road area especially in the areas between soi 1 and soi 23 or same area on other side of road

Lao and Isaan food, is all over BKK

So many people livinig and working there from Isaan

you probable eat food sometimes thinking it's Thai and probalbe isaan food

And where would you recommend to try it in Phuket or Pattaya?

just ask any bg in bangkok...they all seem to be from isaan.

By far the best Isaan/Lao food comes from the street, but for an introduction, you could do much worse than Vientiene or Baan Lao, both in Suk Soi 36 or 38 (can't remember which).

Baan Lao and Vientiane kitchen are both located in Soi 36. There is also a decent Lao restaurant in soi 18, do not remember the name though..

For Kmern food it is best to go to the streetstalls on soi 4. A lot of Laos streetfood around soi cowboy....
