Aug. in Bngkok
Hi there
This is my first message I am sending here. I will be in Bangkok early of Aug. for a week I will need to visit InterContinental Hotel everyday but I wouldn’t like to stay there for a number of reasons. I appreciate if you give me some ideas where to stay, not near but easy access to IC hotel. I got some ideas such as Dynasty Inn Grand but I don’t know if I can commute everyday to IC hotel (hotels in similar class). Of course near entertaining area and some good sensual massage will be the best. Any information is appreciated.
I have learned a lot here but if anything else I should keep in mind since this is my first time in Thailand , it is very much appreciated.
Thank you in advance
Cyrus

Just looked at a site and there is an intercontinental on Phloenchit which just above Sukumvit so the sky train should run straight passed the hotel.
You could stay anywhere on Sukumvit, The Majestic suites or Landmark right by Nana or there are more hotels further down if you wish to stay by Soi Cowboy also on the skytrain route.

If you havnt booked the hotel it may be worth sending them an email first asking them on their charges for guests policy.

Thanks georgelondon.
Mars, I sent inquiry to some hotel but most of girl friendly hotels are already fully booked. Wanted to give a try to Dynasty, as I heard it is nice place, very bad response I got. Not friendly at all, very dicreminative.
They booked me a room first but later, insead of sending leter of confirmation, They canceled by claiming that there has been misunderstanding and I need to show up and if they ahve a room they will give me. I am sure though they have room available. Crazy answer. Need to try other hotes.

There's a slightly shabby Dynasty Inn and a nearby, newer (Jan 06) Dynasty Inn Grande (same company, different hotels). I will be at the DIG for the first time in three days time, but they seemed okay, ignored my web booking, but immediate response to direct email (grande@dynastyinn.com). Check you are in the right place.

Yes, this is Dynasty Grande I tried. I think the problem is they care too much about who books the room. They dont wanna give room to some nationals which I dont like name any since it is a kind of discrimination. That is why they asked me first to show up at hotel. Though I am sure they are wrong about me since I am Caucasian but I already give up though very angry about their behavior . Now thinking to stay in Grand Diamond Pratunam which is far from anywhere.
Thanks for your comments

1. Grand Diamond Pratunam
2. Baiyoke Sky Hotel
3. Tower Inn
4. Siam heritage

Thanks Mars
I know this list, but some other girl friendly hotels are not listed. Seems the hotel I booked is included. Just wonder I need to have a double room to take a girl to my room or single room is also fine.
Tomorrow will be in LOS, hope things go as I expect.

Aug in BKK
I have just booked a Double room everywhere I have stayed and told them via email when my "Girlfriend" and I will be arriving. Regardless of who I meet up with over there (BG or other friends) I have never been prompted or asked any questions, this was staying in several hotels in Sukhumvit and also the Grand Mercure.
Man I love August in Bangkok!
