Q Bar V Nana Disco
Two weeks from now (Sat) I will be in BKK for the very first time!
I have read a lot on this forum about both the above locations but Saturday night is Saturday night, so I am thinking of hitting the Q bar, mainly because the skank looks outstanding!! and if there are no decent FL,s make a bee line for the Nana Disco, failing that!! the car park!! Is that doable for a newbie?? or should I not make plans?? or is there another venue festooned with Dusky maidens that I havnt picked up on??

Do not be misguided by those outstanding looking babes you see on the Q-Bar's web site. Many of those girls have been taken there by their companions or doing promo work for that evening, plus David (owner & photographer) is excellent when it comes to enhancing someones features or skin colour and removing any blemishes. He actually takes dozens of pic's every night however,the vast majority are deleted. Any decent bar, in any City in the world could come up with a similar portfolio of attractive people given similar circumstances. The object of the Q-Bar web site photo gallery is to persuade us guys to visit and part with our 600 Baht entry fee  I have been to the Q-Bar about twenty odd times and although I have had my moments in there, the Nana Disco is a far safer bet to find girls who are looking to be laid.

Depends on what you're looking for... go go's, regular bars go to nana and soi cowboy. If you want a proper club atmosphere then go to Q or bed. Ekkamai has some pretty cool clubs as well.

I went to Q Bar once last April and didn't like it at all. A lot of young/fit farang teenagers looking for a free ride. Girls seemed to me to be too full of themselves too. Just reminded me of the disco and club scenes here in the West. I can get that here every night.
Most of the night I just stood there drinking and watching, a lot of the guys already came with their thai/farang girlfriends, not my scene. Wasted my night (I should have picked that 19 year old from the bar up the street - a much better happy ending it would have been. Although she wanted 1500 + 600 barfine for LT !?!? Ya, too much that's why I passed it. But sitting here now, what a mistake....!!!!) Give Nana Disco a try next time (Oct.)

Exactly, what is a few hundred baht for a babe... . The problem was I was all dressed up and on my way to Q Bar (BTW I wanted to take this girl too but she said she is only 19 and can't go to disco! what a crap rule is that, 21+ !?), so instesd of taking that sweet little thing I opted for Q Bar and said to myself I come out and take her later (perhaps money was just an excuse) - she was gone by then.
So may be I'm pissed off with Q Bar because of that....! Well, next time...

Oh i see what you're saying... Should have just taken her to another club.... I know you have to be above 21 to get into Q, i think bed bar is 18 or 20 i'm not sure. But not many places have this above 21 rule do they??... I only thought it was a few select places like Q, bed, Ministry (now closed) and Mystique (also closed, I used to LOVE this place). But then again i could be wrong..

Would we be responsible when they use these false IDs ?! or can you get off if you say you checked and they had ID with 18 on it !? (It's hard enough checking these damn things with thai years on them, although I hear the new ones have christian years too).
Of course in some cases you will be laughed at if she really looks like a 12-year old and you say you fell for the false ID, I don't think they buy that excuse..... - watch out !

Well i like to think i'm pretty good at the age game, but i always thought the drinking age in Thailand was 18... Is it really 20? Or is it because some bars prefer their customers to be above the age of 20 that we are coming to this conclusion. Can anyone shed some light on this???
