I have in the past gone out on a good few occasions gone out and not remembered getting home. we used to go out and drink ourselves to oblivion used to have the mindset that the best nites were the ones u could not remember. Don't do it no more though since i discovered thailand for the first time. pace myself these days but this is completely different to my "spiking"

Well i wakeup sometimes having no idea what i did last night and my wallet being empty. But that just means that at some point my memory stops functioning while my body still is. So i still keep on drinking and having fun i just don't backup it any more. So i thing Bobby may just have had a great night drinking all his money and just doesn't remember it anymore.
These things happen in LOS more then back home

mm.. Roofies dont come on as fast as some of these knockout stories.. Buddy got mickey finned in Croc disco.. Had a bar about 2/3rds of the way down soi Croc..
Was out of his bar 10 mins.. Felt weird in disco and went to leave and collapsed at the bottom of steps.. Whatever it was hit him like a truck and total time between being slipped it and unconcious probably 5 mins or so.. Not even enough time to make it 200m back. Roofies simply dont come on that fast.

It's all to do with dose. Larger dose, quicker the effect. But of course large doses increase the likelihood of more serious complications. Druggers don't want to give very large doses because a) it's a waste of their stock and b) people made seriously ill or killed will draw the authorities attention much more quickly than a few empty wallets (we're not really talking about date-rape use in LOS here).
Rohypnol comes in 0.5-2mg tabs and legitimate users (in countries where it is still prescribed for insomnia and as a pre-medication for anaesthesia) take one or two tablets which work their effects in 15-20 minutes. The tabs can be chewed or crushed and swallowed for quicker effects or the dust snorted for similar accelerated efficacy. And then again there's the alcohol factor which amplifies the effect. Add to that a hot, humid LOS night... Some manufacturers now dye their tablets green to make them easier to detect if they are dropped into drinks when the green dye turns blue. Nice try but doesn't work if you're drinking straight from a coloured Heineken bottle. What they really need to do is add a completely revolting taste to the tabs - like liquorice

Tabs here do contain the blue dye.. Though a green beer bottle is a mask but even then it would be visible IMHO but maybe only if you looked..
My buddy had a bad night after taking prescribed Roofies for sleep problems.. Ended up getting up and wandering about riding a bike etc all with absolutely no knowledge of his actions.. Not his intention had taken them and gone to bed.. Last time he touched them !! They are prescription controlled here but TiT.. I put mine in the 'will never know' category.. I also admit that if you drink hard then you always have the element of doubt as to root causes and even if so its partly your own fault for not being aware of your environment. Its also fair to assuem that a % of the date rape claims would seem to be regret as much as actual crimes commited.
