Bangkok hotel?

Hi,

I'm visiting bangkok for the 2nd time after 2 years with 2 mates of mine.
Last time stayed at the novotel in siam at only $100 per deluxe room...yeah managed to get a very good deal at that time but not this time.

We're looking to stay near any BTS station and not very far from nana either and preferably somewhere close to the shopping area if possible.

We basically need a 2/3 star hotel that is cheap and must have clean rooms.
PPls advice.

Would it be cheaper to book on the internet or once we get there?

Thanks guys.

I am just back from BKK. I stayed in the Dynasty Inn GRANDE. Its on Soi 6 which is just off Soi 4, Sukumvit. Its very near Nana Skytrain stop and very near all the action, (Lolitas is just round the corner! Nuff said...)

Its a 4 star or very near it... Pool, Guest friendly, Great staff, Great room 32" inch TV... etc etc you get the gist... Its about BT2200 a night to stay there now... I got it at 1800 but that was a special deal as its just opened. E-mail them for more details!

Highy recommended... Have a good Trip!

Dynasty Inn on Soi 4 is demolished now (don't know if they are making transformations or if they are building something else). Dynasty Grande looks great (near the Sofitel).

I've stayed at the Ambassador in one of their regular rooms. Nothing wrong with it and nothing special. I stay at the Manhattan now instead of the Ambassador because it's 500 baht cheaper for pretty much the same thing and it's smaller so a little cozier and maybe a little friendlier. I guess the Ambassador looks better from the outside, looks better in the lobby with some shops and stuff, but the rooms seem about the same which is all I care about. The location is fine. In between Soi Cowboy and Nana. I walked to both places from the Ambassador.

Hi,

I stayed there 17th and 18th august. And yes the building directly at soi 4 is completely gone. But the building in the small soi behind was OK. About 1200THB/night.

Cheers.

Pepsi

I am going to be booking the Majestic Suites Hotel.

Close to Nana BTS and Nana Plaza.

Single Superior room 1350 Baht
Double Superior Room 1590 Bhat

From what I can see, only difference is that the Double is a bit bigger and it includes breakfast for 2 people.

Totally girl-friendly.

Hi Bello,

These are rates from Dynasty on soi 4 (near nana plaza):
The rate is 1,280 baht per night net for Standard room have one big bed.
The rate is 1,400 baht per night net for room twin beds.

But I was told that there is construction going on there so I confirmed with them and they also confirmed it.

I was suggested to go to Dynasty Inn Grande on Soi 6 which looks good. Rates are:
Deluxe room is 2,280 baht per night.
Deluxe twin beds is 2,680 baht per night.
Deluxe suite room is 2,680 baht per night
Just wanna add they emailed me that joined fee is BT500.

Majestics Suites looks perfect for me but I have put in an inquiry last week on this site Majestic Suites - Bangkok hotels Thailand on res24.com but I've had no reply. The rates there are the same as what you mentioned.

I think majestics is the way forward for me too....

How are you booking?

Do you have an email address that you are corresponding with?

Whe are you planning on going?

cheers

I am booking using Sawadee: Bangkok hotels in Thailand. Hotel and guesthouse in the City.

It is a surprise that you did not receive reply? It is an automated service. You should get an email immediately saying that your request has gone through. Then within 24 hours you will get another email asking you to proceed and secure your reservation by paying a deposit.

Anyway, use Sawadee. I booked Pattaya and Hua Hin using that service and it went very smoothly. Just remember that you have to pay a deposit now and the balance before a certain date.

I am in Bangkok only for 2 nights in late November. I am an organised person, so I am booking early.

I got an automated email saying that they have rcvd my request but after that there were no more emailes from them.

Will try it again today.

How much deposit do they ask for?
And when do you have to pay the balance? Do you have to pay the full balance or can you pay the balance on check in?

you been to phuket? any suggestion on which hotel would be best to stay in? I'm thinking of safari.....i still have to read through the accomodation forum to get more info though....

thanks for the help
