Trat Airport-service to Koh Chang

I'd received an email regarding transportation at Trat airport to Koh Chang and I was told by Bangkok Airways the following: According to your e-mail, we are sorry to inform you that we did not have information about transportation to Koh Chang.Should there be any further inquiries or more assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.
We're looking forward to serve you soon.
(Please reply with history)

Sincerely Yours,
Reservation & Ticketing Officer
Bangkok Airways, Bangkok, Thailand
October 01st, 2006.
"

I read also that there is a transportation service by Bangkok Airways - just take their minibus from the airport to my hotel - 300 baht, no need to book in advance.
Which version is correct?
Did Bangkok Airways suspended or canceled this service> In affirmative case is there any transportation service agency booth at Trat Airport

Well I think that seeing you have asked Bangkok Airways and have received a response from them, I doubt anyone on here could overrule or give a different answer to what they have already given you. Probably not a lot of experience on this board with that area of Thailand.

I am assuming that ttheres probably a minibus and or taxi service at the airport but that its not Bangkok Airways running it merely a concession. AFAIK BKK Air doesn't provide any ground transport.

And just to round this up :

from IAN kohchang [as posted on tripadvisor]

Posted on: 8:14 am, today

As with most replies sent by Thai tourism related businesses, it's nonsense.
The service is still running. When you get off the plane you'll see minivans which are splashed with Bangkok Airways logos and bright murals. These will take you to your hotel in Trat. (The minivans themselves arent owned by Bkk Airways the service is sub contracted to a Trat based tour agency. )
They gave you the info about the two tour companies ( both owned by Bangkok Airways) to try to get you to book a package - including hotels& transfers through them.
The phone number at Trat Airport for the minivan service is 039 525 777 ext 124
