Annie's

I have been to a few massage places for soapies over the years. On my most recent trip I visited Annie’s and was under the impression that it was quite good.

My trip to Annie’s was a waste of money. Of all the PfP I have had in LOS over the years this has been my only regret. I should have turned around when I saw the old and dirty entryway, and the messy fishbowl. In the fishbowl there were clothes laying all over the floor along with other things. It looked like a messy kid’s room.

Out of the 15 or available girls I managed to pick one.

The room we went to was equally old and in desperate need of an update. The room was very warm. There was no A/C, only a wall mounted fan. The shower head was awful giving a very find and piercing spay.

I paid 1500 baht for 2 hours and left after 45 minutes.

My advice to anyone who is considering Annie’s: Stay away. Instead, take a taxi (about 60 baht) to Utopia pay 2000 (as far as I remember) for 2 hours and really enjoy the fine facility and the great girls. There are other good places around in Bangkok; I am just not in a position to recommend. If you are in Patong, Christin’s is quite good.

Annie’s Sucks

Hasent Annies been known as the Cheap Charlie Soapy for years.
Compared to Cupidy,Poseidon or CP2 its half of the price and more.
A lot of people love the place and others hate it and have nothing positive to say about the place.

Personally i cant remember it was any worse or better than any other place in that pricerange.
But i know its been a lot of discussions on other forums about Annies and how clean it is etc.

You probably get what you pay for

I'm pretty sure I had an Annie's girl come visit me in my hotel room. Heard bad things about the building, so I opted to order take-out.
The service was typical, but she was actually a real little hottie so it was worth it, and the prices are great.

Annie's (and Darlings) are nothing more than tourist traps. Take the subway from Asok station to Huay Kwang (20B fare) and go out of exit #3. You are now standing in the shadow of the sign for Emmanuele MP, hi-Class is in the same complex (good service from those gals). you can also go down the street a few meters and see the sign for Nataree MP(one of my favorites). This place has loads of hot willing girls from 2PM on.
Massage, Nightclubs, Karaoke and Entertainment on Ratchadapisek Road Map

After you're done you can have a good seafood meal at Somboon Seafood back by the subway station.
Enjoy.....

ALL the bkk soapies are hit and miss IMO. Search enough on any given MP and you will find completely conflicting reviews...

I think what it really comes down to is whether the girl is any good or not/you have a good experience with her. I've never understood how when you read a lot of negative MP reviews on the net the first thing they go on about is that they didn't like the wallpaper or something

Also, and this isn't a comment on their quality or lack thereof, I don't think you can call Darling or Annie's are tourist traps. If anything they are two of very few places with no newbie overcharge, falang fee, taxi commission or other such ripoffs. The real traps are the places tourists get taken to on their first night (by their helpful tuk-tuk driver of course) and stung for 4000 baht + tips for all.

and which are these 4000baht places?

when i visited cupidy it had more than 100 girls in total (fish bowl + sideline) which was amazing to see cos we dont get that sort of volume back home...lol

i've noticed people get shafted once you walk into a soapy and they insist that you pick a lady....a couple of times I went with a mate of mine to 2 small soapies.....girls were 3 out of 10 ..... and the place looked a little dodgy too expecially cos they push you into picking someone and also they close the door so you also feel a little scared to tell them that you're not interested.....going alone I would be a little scared but since we were 2 we never settled for less than what we were looking for......dont like one...move to the next.....and since it was my first trip the tuktuk guy made his money......he took half hour from soi cowboy to mona lisa...prick!!

HI there my name is Aey I am manager of Annie's and daughter of Annie herself. 1st may I say thank you for trashing our family business on the internet, we have had this business for 30 years, it makes us all here feel really nice the wonderful things you have said and continued to say through your other posts.

1 The clothing. Near the entrance of the fish bowl there is an area where the girls put there shoes. I am sure you are aware of the Thai custom of taking shoes of when entering certain places. As there are sometimes in here over 60 girls working there are allot of shoes. If as you said there was only 15 girls I would say that the others where busy in the rooms but there shoes where there still. As you might well know it is hot in Thailand but we have allot of aircon machines on in the bar and the fish bowl area and when there are no customers in this area the aircon is kept on and the girls sometimes wear very revealing clothes thus they are cold so they wear sarongs when there are no customers. When a customer comes in they take there sarongs off and they try to be fast about this to get into a good seat so they can be seen buy there possible new client, so folding them in nice neat corners of the room is not first on there mind, getting a customer is. If nice neat folded clothes is a fetish of yours then of course we have ladies that can help.

The room we went to was equally old and in desperate need of an update. The room was very warm. There was no A/C, only a wall mounted fan. The shower head was awful giving a very find and piercing spay.

Not all customers like aircon. We get many customers that ask for it to be turned down or switched off which is why there are fans in the room to try and cover as many bases as we can.

b Sometimes things break down, same as a car or a computer. Judging by your comments this has never happened to you and you are very lucky so we are sorry that our aircon was not working that day. It seems to be working ever since this sad day.

If there was a problem with the shower head (first time we have heard this) please ask for another room. Easy.

I paid 1500 baht for 2 hours and left after 45 minutes.
Well this was your choice.

Instead, take a taxi (about 60 baht) to Utopia pay 2000 (as far as I remember) for 2 hours and really enjoy the fine facility and the great girls.[/quote]

2060bt plus the taxi fare back 60bt as well. If our rooms are so bad but you found a girl you liked then you could have taken her out all day for 2000bt and had the Annies great service in your obviously wonderful apartment or hotel. This is much better value for you and you forget to mention a tip for the utopia girl. I think your recommended utopia visit would have worked out allot more expensive.

We will have a web site soon and we will post a URL as long as the administrators allow us to. It will show you pictures of our rooms for you own viewing. If you compare them to other similar establishments for the price range I am sure you will see our rooms are of expectable standard if not better. If you require stunning rooms I am sure that Poseidon is more your taste which charges well over our prices. On there hand I have to agree our rooms are not the newest, but we spend more time making sure our staff give great service not having pretty rooms. One of my customers form the UK told me when you are poking the fire you do not look at the mantel piece. If the room is more important than great service then ok we say sorry.
I am thinking maybe P4P holiday in Las Veags is more your style. Amazing rooms. On the other hand please if you pay us 5000bt or something around that price area we can sort out an amazing lady and book you into a presidential sweet in one of the hotels we have a local deal with.

Finally all your negative comments seem to be based on the clothes left in the corner some shoes and the aircon that day we had problems with. If this constituted you slamming our family business every time you can effecting our trade then so be it. It would have been much nicer if you contacted me explained and see if we could have helped. Can you please give me info on your family business so I can spread it across the internet and trash it as well.
We are not perfect but we are good at what we do, this is why we have been here for over 30 years.

Lots of Love from Aey and the rest of my family.

i dont think he's "trashing" your family business
he is giving his honest opinion
you say you been in the business for 30 years, im sure this isnt the 1st or last negative experience someone will have
everyone is entitled to their own opinion
in this day and age, many of those opinions end up on the internet, as you are aware of since you are browsing public forums

Nothing wring with opinions. We like constructive criticism please, where we can change we will of course. But as said above it seems the utter trashing of our name is based on some sarongs not being neatly placed and not neatly folded and some shoes. Of course sorry one day we had problem with the aircon. If you have a few good points for us then say it great then of Course if us the opportunity to reply. On the other hand when some of our very regular happy clients then give there view this member then comes strait out of the gate in reiterating his points and on other threads linking to his comments when other people say good things. Once the point has been maid perfect we have replied but when other people make positive points there is no need to then push back harder. What is the reason for this is there an alternative motive or vendetta.

For eg this thread.
http://www.phuket-info.com/forums/ba...ghlight=annies

Question from user Uptown Jesus
so ive been reading about the different soapy places and everyone seems to recommend a different one, Ive heard of mona lisa, annie's, emmanuells, and pretty lady. What would your top 3 be and why?

Reply from MrDK
Annie's: Awful (to say it the least)
Reply from Talbotman
DONT AGREE that annies is c rap ok you wont find A division ladies in there like you do in the big massage places but then again you wont pay big prices
when i go to annies i usualy hit the place around 1030 am and sit and have a drink at the bar while the girls are arriving i have had 2 of the best twosomes i have had in thailand in annies massage and the girls are ok in looks.
Reply MRDK
The place is ratty, dirty and has no air conditioner. Even the fish bowl was messy ... talk about presentation. When I went there I left after 45 minutes because I could not handle the heat and the smell.
I saved about 400 baht going there ... wish I hadn't. See my review from last October: Annie's,

He then posted a link back to his previous comments on another thread.
I have not looked for anymore but I am sure he has left more comments similar. We are here to make people a happy if someone is not happy we are sad to here about and we will do our best to resolve a matter but banging on about it when ever you get the chance just does not seem correct. Maybe it’s a cultural thing that I am not sure about.

one thing i respect is when a person with a business posts on here and comes back with replies
so i commend you for that

what i think happened, just by accident, is that a few different threads were talking about soapies and he was giving his opinion about it on different posts
i dont think he has an agenda

but again, i applaud for you replying back to my thread and others and am sure if someone has a complaint you would do your best to fix it
good job

Please forgive me English is not my 1st language in fact its about my 5th, this is why I asked, is it a cultural thing?
I am not sure about that or I missed the message language wise.

Please when our web site is up and running we would like some constructive help also. Anyone is more than welcome to email us by the web site as soon as it is up and running. Thanks for your time.

You see the problem you will have is everyone has their own opinions about places and Mr DK obviously didn't have a good experience at your massage parlour. However he is well in his right to post his feelings on this forum as this is what we look for, other peoples opinions and experiences. Mr DK obviously disliked his experience, where as you have found a quote about someone who did enjoy their experience at your buisness.

This forum, in my opinion, is here to give us knowledge as to what other people think of places (hotels, bars, massage houses etc) and this is no different. He never 'trashed' your reputation as i am sure you still get a fair amount of buisness regardless if it's repeat or new and you will never get a 100% happy customer rate.

But i do welcome you coming here and voicing your concerns and also the chance, as soon as your website is up and running,to give you constructive imput. I have never been myself, but on my next trip i will say a hello.

a BM going to Annie's and mentioning that they are a member of phuket-info might be a good way to make sure that he gets some exceptional service and might post some positive comments about Annie's. Might make the experience a win-win for both Annie's and the BM.

We will be posting on all forums from now on. It just takes time to get around them all. We chose this one as one of the firsts as It seemed that this site so far was giving us the best going over mainly off one member.

I think we came over a little strong we are sorry but please remember English is not our strong point. His comments in his mind where right but not of the many. Stating your opinion is a good thing but on about it is not.

Our service will be the same for all. If you mention to me that you are from a forum then we would welcome your thoughts but rule for one is rule for all. We try our best. A customer from a forum of from off the street just passing by will get treated as best we can.

Thanks

Hi Aey,

Just wondering.....Is the "Annie's Bar" (just across the soi and down a bit), also part of your family holdings'?

(just curious)

Never stopped in either, but frequently stay at the Majestic Grande.

Dear Aey,

I am sure that you have a very loyal clientele to keep you in business for 30 years and that should say a lot about your business right there. Unfortunately not everyone will have a great experience and that happens. If they do not tell you about what happened then there is nothing that you can do to rectify the situation. And if they start posting negative comments on the internet there is not much that you can do except for try to refute their claims. The ratio of negative to positive comments is usually out of proportion to the amount of satisfied and unsatisfied customers that you have. A person who has a negative experience is far likelier to post a comment than a person who had a positive experience, even if the positive experiences far outweigh the negative ones.

And also because of the nature of your business not a lot of people will want to make a comment, especially since a decent amount of your clients are probably married businessman looking to have some fun away from their hotel and don't want anyone to find out what they were doing.

The first time I went to Christins in Patong I had a very negative experience. Ho nice looking ladies, very pushy manager, I left in 15 minutes without taking a lady. Came back 3 hours later and had a great time.

Just keep doing what you have been doing for 30 years and you should be fine.

Good luck.
