This is my first time to BKK and would like to know which is a better area (more fun/girls) to stay... Sukhumvit or Silom?
I would like a nice hotel $100- $130 that is GF and where I wont feel uncomfortable bringing a guest...

Depending on dates you can get an advance purchase rate of $135 per night otherwise it is now $160 and up.

The landmark on Sukumvit which nis GF not far from soi 4 has a promotion on for $137 a night.

The Majestic Grande is right in that price range ($87 to $137). It is on Soi 2 just past JW Marriott. Very G/F.

Good call MrDK I never thought of that one and I've stayed there.

Good hotel and perfect location

It also has Annies soapy accross the road but beware it has had some poor reports lately.

I opened a Thread Annie's Sucks. Annie's is one of the cheapest around. My recommendation for a soapie is Utopia. About 70 baht taxi ride and no taxi commission.
