Chinese New Year 18th-20th february
As this will be my 1st trip to Bangkok and I will be there for the Chinese New year can some of the more experienced bm's say how the Chinese new Year is in Bangkok. I know they have a very large Chinatown which is where the celebrations take place.
Do you think they might tone it down after what happened on the 31st December?????
I would love to go and celebrate the New Year in Chinatown just a bit wary of more attacks....
Cheers

talking of accidents...i wet the bed in the dynasty after a rather large tequila session in their bar. they charged me big baht for "bed damage".
girls on the reception were almost pissing themselves (with laughter) everytime i came down.

I did a search with two words "Accident" and "Shit" and in a 2005 post I saw a moderator in the same situation.

As one of only two moderators my name is in the frame here.I don't want to name names, but I have never suffered from 'sphincter failure' so far and all my toilet business has been conducted in the toilet (and behind the occasional bush etc), never in the bed or on the beach.

Try googling 'doing a steve@thaib', which will bring a couple of results, then use your imagination and see what the No1 result is

There's been a couple of times when I've had girls whose periods happened to start just as we were doing the deed in bed, and one other time, when I suffered a bit of bleeding myself. Never was charged a Baht for "bed damage," which was a nice surprise! I guess it pays to give the maids a good tip every day!

To get back on track, no one can predict the future... However, the talk in the papers here is that the NYE bombs could be the start of a series of incidents. No one knows who is responsible yet. Security is being beefed up at many large public areas (airports, malls, etc...). I would not be surprised if certain festivities are cancelled if some intell comes in just prior to Chinese NY

Well this mod is only age 7 so we won't hold it against him...
He admitted it in one of my early threads...

Thanks TanMan for changing back to the subject!! I imagine Security would be beefed up to the max!
I was in London the day after the bombings 18 months ago so not really worried.

I have been talking to some friends regarding Chinese New Year. I was advised to go to China Town for a few hours and then go and party on Khao San Road. Anyone else agree/disagree with this.... Although I am not going as a backpacker I have seen some really cool looking bars on Khao San Road such as Bangkok bar, The Club, Lava Club, Deep.
Can anyone shed some light on this for me?????
