Long Stay Bangkok
Hi,
Can anyone recommend a place to stay in Bangkok over a period of months. The only essentials are that it must have room internet access, and be reasonably close to a BTS station.
I've sent off emails to these places below, but haven't got any replies yet.
Welcome to RAJAH Mansion...
The Delicate Life Style Apartment :::
Also the Blue Wana Place, 243 Soi Sukhumvit 89, Sukhumvit Rd.
I'm hoping to go towards the end of February, beginning of March 07. Hoping to pay between 8,000 - 12,000 per month.
Thanks.

I just stayed at the Rajah Mansion last month (December). It was fine, but you pay 1,000 baht per month for internet, which I didn't because I did get a wireless signal (although weak) for free. Being on Soi 4 Suk, you are in the den, but that has its pluses and minusses, IMHO.
Drawbacks are the following:
1. Thai girls will room 4 to a room and freelance all night. Expects some knocks on your door late at night....
2. Lots of Russian pros working the Rajah Hotel coffee shop will be your neighbors.... actually this may be a plus as they sure do walk around in some skimpy outfits.
3. I was charged over 3,000 baht for electricty for one month, but had to catch a plane and had no time to argue... they know this
4. Because it is only 11,000 bt per month rent, you will get a few derelicts..

You could try the-victory.com which is near to the BTS Victory Monument near soi rangnam. They have some better deals if you sign up for 6 months I think and they do have ADSL available for extra. There is another one just around the corner called the VPtower.com which isn't too bad either, but not sure about internet. Taxi rides to the Suk are about 50 baht and pretty quick, the BTS takes about 20+ minutes door to bar.
cheers, Robaht

hi Sanook,..Always stay at Nana Condo just about directly across from Hillary Bar Sukhumvit Soi 4...
Was there for 3 months late 2005 and think i paid 12000 Baht per month plus electricty, water and phone taking it up to around 15000....
Phone connection to room to connect laptop after purchasing a prepaid internet card from Family Mart or 7/11...Annoying part is they (Nana Condo)only allow a 30 min call so you need to be reconnecting every half hour....
Nothing flash but convenient, clean, guest friendly and always find management only too pleased to assist....
Also stay here for shorter periods at 800/900 Baht per night as i send numerous cartons of goods home and feel less conspicuous doing it from there than a better class establishment...

Thanks for the replies.
VP Tower are the only people to have replied, so it looks like I'll stay there.
Cheers.
