The location and the price look good. The room too.
One to bookmark and maybe investigate...

Peter, I have stayed here twice, very nice. From memory 1,800 THB per night for a double.
The rooms are spacious and Air Con., although a few years old, but still very nice, and the pool is always nice and clean, great to get the TG's in their little bikinis
Good restaurant too that has a good mix of European and Thai food.
Definitely Girl Friendly, even having 2 girls by the pool having breakfast with me the next morning was OK. Location also good, walkable to BTS.

Bangkok stablelodge
One of the reason i ask was that on a travel program on the Telly they did mention the restaurant and did give it very good recomandations.
I i know when the Danish royal family was in BKK they used this hotel for catering and food.
And at my work some experienced travelers give it also very good recomandations.
Will check it out this week ,they dident have any available rooms just now,
but i will walk up there and just have a look

Fine, with the great food and all, Petter.
But it seems to be "girl friendly"????
Is that what you really want?
Half naked (young) women running around the place at all hours???
Well, each to his own, I guess 5555

I was respsonding to Peter.g,I didn't mean to give the impression it's a nude-fest in there.
Of course discretion is the name of the game. I've alse never seen any naked Thai girls running around anywhere in Bangkok at breakfast time. Even BG's wear tasteful street clothes.

I have been coming there in the last 6 years. It has a friendly atmosphere. The staff is friendly and it has a great restaurant with both thaifood and european food and of course scandinavian food. They have every night a big BBQ for around 400 bath and saturday and sunday the have a traditional danish lunchbuffet starting at 12 for about 400 bath ( lot of danish expat come to these buffet).
The hotel deliver catering to a lot of scandinavian company and embassies in Bangkok.
The room is not that spacius but you will get a nice balcony (something you do not normaly have in a hotel in bangkok)
Today I stay in a hotel across stablelodge with bigger room and cheaper ca 1300 bath (sorry I forgot the name), but I normaly go eat in stablelodge and drink with friends before hitting Nana or Cowboy.

The hotel is a bit old and shows "wear and tear", but the location is great, the staff is nice and the food is good.
But pricey.
Have a weekend breakfast/lunch buffet there, you will not regret it!
