Try the RCA (Royal City Avenue) area. Khao San road is becoming more popular with younger Thais and there are some little clubs there.

As i havnīt been to bkk for almost 15 month, i canīt tell you which club is the place to be right now (everywhere the same, things change so fast)
As you are only 23, yes RCA could be the place to go.
Befor you could have a drink on the roof of banya tree hotel or have a walk and a drink at the nightmarket.
Mabe Bed Supper Club is still a choice.

If you take her to Sky Bar, at the roof of the State Tower in Silom area, she will be impressed!
You don't have to eat there, take a couple of drinks and enjoy the view of Bangkok, and relax.
Very nice, and I was told that thai girls like "romantic", and the one I brought there liked it a lot!

Excellent recommendation... I forgot about his place as it has been three years since I have been... and only then with a farang girl.. She was really impressed, mostly by the views and the setting.. which is saying something given her expectations....

You could try Spasso - the up market nightclub under the Grand Hyatt Erawan. They have some good cover bands (Filipina/Farang) as well - not cheap though.

if you decide to go to Khao San road then head for the shamrock bar it's up stars above a cafe sort of place, it's not a club but a big bar with a Irish theme has a really good band in there every night and is full of young Thais and lots of Weston people, really good night out imo the best bar in Khao San road!

you could go to HRC where they hv live music. there are some places which hv blues, jazz and other tye of music. Just check the paper where they are.
For disco you could go to Novotel's disco. Not so many FL there compare to Nana disco.
Gullivers are always nice. quite good food also.

Have to agree with ToTheBeach, you really don't want to take your girlfriend to any of the places above as they are crawling with FLs. Novotel is 100% FLs and packed with creepy Russian chicks to boot.

ATM, you used the 100% term! More like 75%, IMO... maybe less. I have always had to watch my words in places like this to avoid a possible misunderstanding. Many girls are there just to hang amongst their group.

And their group is FLs...
I wanted to use the 100% term. I'm not one to generalize blindly, but it fits here.
Maybe they don't want you coming head on. Perhaps they want you to ease into it and pretend they aren't working, but for sure all the unescorted girls there are ultimately looking for offers. Not my scene anyway. Place gives me the creeps.
I'd say somewhere like Q Bar is more mixed like what you're getting at. Moving onto Bed you get even less FLs in the usual sense.

Have to egree with ATM.
I also have anissue with CM2, gives me the creeps too. Definately would prefer Q Bar, even before Bed in my opinion. Both Bed and Q are definately a more mixed crowd.

Then, maybe it gives you the creeps because you both have different objectives from being there (maybe you brought your own gal?). It sounds like you are after a night out in a "regular" bar, and with different intentions. But, to say that 100% of the girls in CM2 are working girls (as ATM puts it) is a far stretch.
I've met a couple over the years that were there for a night out only, with their friends. Too have fun. No money exchanged hands even though I offered in the AM. I once even passed out after a night out there and brought a girl back to the hotel room (before I passed out that is and no hanky panky took place). I accidently had left my wallet on the table with 15,000 baht plus in it. In the morning, no girl (she had said she had to get up and work in the AM), but nothing taken either. Bless my "luck" I guess...

Clearly you must have given her a night of unbridled pleasure. Sure she was even considering flipping you a few Baht for that TanMan lovin'.
Freelancing in BKK works in a different way then in Phuket. Having a normal job doesn't necessarily exclude picking up some extra baht. You can hide that stuff better in a big city than a small place like Phuket.
Despite my happiness for you in picking up a freebe, going back to the OP, I don't think your luck makes this a good place for thaizeman to bring his non-bg/non-fl girlfriend. Even with 25% FLs, she would likely feel uncomfortable when there are so many other good alternatives.
TanMan Disclaimer: In no way am I insinuating that all girls with a regular job go to discos to find men for freewheeling sex or extra pocket money. Sure they all wouldn't mind a new Prada purse, but they may just save their satang instead. I am also not suggesting that girls with regular girls should freelance or not consider going out and picking up a farang stallion for a roll in the hay. I am also not implying that this freebie was a one-off event as I am certain TanMan's hansom-man-ness can woo even the most cold hearted of women. I am also certain TanMan is an equal opportunity orgasmic-heights giver and that the pleasure experience by this woman was not over and above what they all would experience if given the opportunity and that such opportunity is not unjustly withheld.
Again, no small animals were hurt in the writing of this disclaimer.

State Tower Romance
I did enjoy the bar at the top of the State Tower but the food was quite pricey and not fantastic. Given the height and in spite of the screens it was a little windy and if you are going with your Teerak be prepared to relinquish your jacket unless she has a pullover with her... Great views though.

I agree with Mac. Great place for a drink. In walking distance (or short taxi ride) from the State Tower is a restaurant called The Blue Elephant, which is excellent and reasonably priced (5-800 baht per person, plus drinks). That would be a great combination and not too expensive. The Blue Elephant is semi-upscale and feature Thai food.

Agree, and sometimes the line between calling a FL a FL is a bit grey if their main job (or only job if non-FL) in BKK is in the mainstream workplace. And, not to imply I am "lucky" all the time there. I've been shot down plenty by girls I thought were FL's and non-FL's alike. But, those are the instances I prefer not to talk about. The girls there tend to be really choosy because they can be, IMO. If they don't like you, they aren't going anywhere with you.
Back to the OP, yes, there are better alternatives already posted here, but I find myself defending CM2 because it is my favorite place (club) in BKK.

hi @ all..
thanks for all your answers...
we was in khao san road, this road was so crowded, that I just want to go out.. we were also in nana, so the entertainment area is not so bad, she also liked the look at all that gogo girls ;-)
so, I think the disco right under the nana hotel, was the one that we searched and also found.. so we had a lot of fun there...
btw, someone right the young thais go to khao san road, maybe, but the one that I had with me is 35 years old

Glad it worked out. I assumed she was around the same age as you (23 or younger). A 35 year old would be more open minded and exploratory for sure. Glad you had fun.

i agree that these places are all FL havens
i prefer places like QBar, Met Bar and such, but dont think any girl would be freaked out to be in Gulliver's and such. and to be honest, if they were, they are probably a snob
