hotels-what off season-getting worried

arriving on 30 april and trying to book on the net for first 3 nights with no luck.no rooms for internet booking .tried many hotels and am now trying hotels neer soy cowboy like euro grande as i can't get neer nana.
does anyone have the phone number of an agency i can talk to as i think i have left it too late for the net.
is there any reason it is so busy at this time or is this normal.i may have to abandone my plan of booking other 8 nights (pattaya, river kwai, back to bangkok))when i get there and do something now.
also is the ambassador hotel as bad as the reviews say .i know they are starting a major refurbishment soon.

The Dynasty Grande and the Majestic Grande (not the cheapest) are usually available. Dynasty Hotel in Soi 4 has just been completed and may have more availability. The month of May shouldn't be too tough.

You can try grottino bangkok homepage.

It's a few hundred metres from Soi Cowboy, very nice place. Stayed there a few times. The owner usually replies via email same day.

try going to the Nana hotel web site and book direct - they dont even require a deposit, just charge you at the end of your stay.........with 500 rooms they will definitely have space.

just had a look at ratestogo.com.
looks good. they have more hotels in their system than latestays.com...
btw. i stayed in baan sukumvith last visit, also on ratestogo.
Baan Sukhumvit - Bangkok's Finest Boutique Inn
it's pretty good. clean rooms, bit small but the bed is big, hehe
i also liked the shower. not sure how you call this but the "showerhead" is like a "big plate in the ceiling". good for messing around there...
it's in a small street so very quiet
gf, of course.
the place is about 5 min. stroll to soi cowboy
i paid 1430 nett per night. ok value, i might stay there again
