Vertigo Or Scirocco?

Have any BMs been to both restaurants and can give an objective opinion on which one has the better food, atmosphere, room to sit, bar.etc? I am arriving in BKK on 19 May and am planning to take my TG out on the 22nd for her birthday . Thanks in advance for any replies.

I have not been to Vertigo, however, in review that I have read is has a better view (farther from the cluster of high rises); however, the food is better at Sirocco. In my opinion the food at Sirocco is better than average but at a very very premium price. Much of the food offered is Western.

On my last trip to Bangkok I took a date to the Blue Elephant restaurant which is in walking distance from Sirocco / The Dome Bar. We went to the Dome Bar after dinner and it was a great combination. Blue Elephant Bangkok Restaurant and Cooking School is a very fine restaurant with prices lower than you would expect. Great service and atmosphere.

Cheers Mr DK ,sounds like good idea. I am not afraid to spend a few extra baht if the occasion deserves it but any money saved to spend on something else would be welcomed.

Vertigo is very good, view is great, food (western)is very good also.
price is very expensive cost me about 8500 baht with only 2 cocktails each dont think Thai girl would appreciate it that much but is a great experience
have heard Blue Elephant restaurant is very good also at a lower price.
also heard about a restaurant which gives you a condom when bill payed which also has good reviews.(cabbages & condoms i think its called)

try this Bangkok Restaurants - Reviews, Photos - VirtualTourist.com

Vertigo.

Cabbages and Condoms is poor in my opinion.

I had a superb meal at Bed Supperclub the other day, eat what you are given, but just excellent.
