I've never had an escort or streetwalker yet but I saw some of the pics of escort girls in Thailand and I was impressed!
They were fine as hell and IMO are higher quality, at least looks-wise.

One of the bigger mistakes of a newbie (that included me) is not having the patience to connect with the girl other than the looks-department. Picking a girl that in your eye is great looking is easy and can be done in 5 minutes or less, but just because you are all googly over her does not mean that the feelings are (yet) mutual. She may agree to go with you.

Talking, joking, laughing and a few lady drinks can make a huge difference in the attitude you are bringing back to the room and consequently a huge difference in your experience. You may also find that the same "getting to know" may deter you from bar fining her and at that point you may count your self lucky that you only spent a few hundred baht.

Aside from the actual fishing expedition, there is a tremendous amount of fun to be had with some bar girls that you may never have any intention of bar fining. I remember a few girls at the Pharaohs (first bar inside) in Nana Plaza. No intention of bar fining any of them, but loads of fun.

I'm still not sure how I will act in BKK once I get there because I never have paid for sex before (paying for drinks/food another story )

From what I've been reading here, the whole prostitution scene in LOS is not as upfront and informal as hooking up with a ***** in the West. In LOS, I think there is more a "getting to know" before the mechanical act of sex, which I find quite nice.

I wouldn't worry to much about doing some of the newbie mistakes, because you will. And those experiences will likely be fantastic too. So who cares if you pay 500+ baht more the first few times just because the girls can sense the oportunity from a mile away, as long as you have fun.

Try to go into a few bars, - only with the goal of flirting a bit with a girl or two and the move to the next bar. You will find that on some occations you will be in and out with little interaction and on some occations it is tough to get out because the girls will not want you to leave. Remember if you get far enough that you have a bit of fun and joking around and you along the line you buy the girl a lady drink (or two), she too got some return on investment. They make commision on the lady drinks.

90% of these girls love to have fun and laugh. In many bars they will encourage to play a game of sort; which may lead to more lady drinks as you loose.

When I go out in Bangkok, my evening generally start at 8 PM and for the first couple of hours I put very little thought into finding a lady for the night; I only focus on having fun. As it get closer to midnight, I generally have made a natural connection and if not, then I change gear a bit.

I'm pretty comfortable as I've been to the PI alot, but over there they speak English and I'm used to the culture. I don't think LOS is much different other than the girls being Buddhist instead of Catholic.

But you're right, I will try to go there to have fun and not to solely focus on hooking up. I'll let them come at a natural pace.
