Got a phone call at 12:00 BST today, can I be in BKK for a presentation for 11:00 on Monday. Well physically, yes I can, so fly tomorrow at 10:00 and arrive at around 07:30 on Sunday.

I've got around three hours work on Monday and then that's me done. I've told the company that I'm not flying back until Friday evening so that's me on the p**s for a day or two.

The hotel I stay at only had suites, so out came the company credit card and booked.

All good stuff!

Sounds like a plan mate. A couple of days on the piss is better than none!

Congratulation on a free trip. Remember free is better than cheap.

I had one of those leave-tomorrow-trips to KL once, also for a single presentation. I stayed 5 days.

Happens all the time now. I was in BKK for two weeks at the beginning of May and had 48 hours notice of that one. Unlike this trip it was a bit of a grueller with very little spare time, so I'm making up.

Got a phone interview on Tuesday morning, second of two, and if that goes OK I'll be looking a permenant posting in either BKK or KL. The fingers are crossed.

Well, flew in last Sunday and was at the office for 07:00 Monday morning. There followed two trips across BKK to other offices until arriving at our final destination for the 10:00 presentation.

Waited until twelve and finally got wheeled into a room full of Thais. We had a Thai guy leading the presentation and I expected my part to last around 10 minutes. The Thai guy did his bit, the chairman asked one question and out we all trooped again. 6000+miles and 15 hours travelling each way for jack s**t. Went into the office for three hours on Tuesday and then spent the rest of the week chilling, well,

. Can't be bad.

Just arrived back in the UK this morning and await the next call, which is currently a toss-up between KL or Santiago apparently.
