Soi 33 - recommendations?
I'm in BKK next month for a few days before hitting Phuket and thought I'd have a wander round Soi 33 as I've never been there. Anyone got any recommendations on the places to go and the ones to avoid? Thanks.

I went there only one time with a few colleagues from my Bangkok's office and the only advice I would say is: avoid that street. The bar we went was called Dali. The price: 4800 B for 8 beers. Wow ! Such another bad experience? Never again ! Hopefully, I have good colleagues who paid the bill !

4800B for 8 beers....you got ripped off, why pay it...just leave!
The mamasan at Dali is a *****, quite possibly the nastiest mamasan I have ever met, but some of the girls there are great. Biggest pair of tits I've ever seen on a TG in Dali at the moment. I love soi 33...best bars...The Office, Baccus, Monet - though they can be a wee bit cheeky with the bils there so watch them (They'll do you for 100B not 3500B) Blue BarBQ is a great fun bar...used to have my favourite girl in BKK serving, she was hysterical, her father was a black GI in Nam.....left the bar industry now luckily for her.... The beers are cheaper before 9pm, usually about 90B, then go up to 150B after that time....but they bars are livlier after 9pm Not a place for the Cheap Charlies, but the girls are better company and less pouty that the Go Go girls

Stick your head in the door at Dali...or just look as you go by, she's often at the door...that sour faced mamasan *****, in a film she'd be the perfrct characteur.

Yes, don't play with the Dali mamasan unless one is very good at pool, and even then she will beat you every time.
Where old chaps like me are welcome on Soi 33 is The Office.The young lassies there are pretty and very well behaved. The Aussie patron keeps a good bar with correct measures.
