local tit-bits
I'm looking for local titbits... not to be mistaken with tis nor bits.
Example of one would be, crackers with meat floss on top...
Where would be a good place to hunt for these? or is there any shop that may be recommended that sells these stuff...
Thanks

Mrs eats that (sort of flaky dried jerky product - not to my taste, but hey takes all sorts)... easy to find in any of the super markets (BigC, Lotus, Carrefour, TOPS) and any Chinese food shop as for crackers - best bet is Carrefour or TOPS.

Another good one to find is the crunchy shrimp cake things with whole shrimps (in shell, head tail and all).. Tasty..

Head to Chinatown for all the tidbits.
The hypermarts carry generic brands which kinda suck.
It's like heading to him-heang in penang vs carrefour in johor.
Though, I highly recommend the local dried mangos or durian kueh.
Much better than those in Malaysia or Singapore.
And meat floss? Think cotton candy, but made from meat. And yes, it's as sweet as cotton candy.

I am just always a sucker for the 'new'.. If I see something I havent yet had I am just too curious a person not to want to dive in and give it a go..
Only a few days ago I found out that the BBQ sweetcorn guys also mix up a salad thing with sweetcorn, steamed ground up coconut, a little butter, salt and sugar.. Delish little salad (if you stop him putting sugar in)..
