Bangkok

Hello,

I am going to bangkok over the new year. I will be getting to bangkok on the 27th and my flight home is on the 12th Jan. I am not sure how long to stay in bangkok for this time as I am thinking of heading down to phuket. I have been to bangkok for a week before and really enjoyed it and would have liked to stay longer. I would really like to be flexiable when I get over there. I was thinking of booking a hotel in bangkok untill the 3rd Jan and then just take it from there. If I extended my stay in bangkok or book a hotel in phuket. What you think my chances are of booking a hotel around the 3rd jan in bangkok or phuket.

I guess with it being high season it is best trying to get a hotel before I travel. Would have been nice to just go with the flow but guess I will be more rigid.

Thinking about it where would be best to celabrate New Year. Bangkok or Phucket.

You could have an excellent time in both places for new year, 2 years ago i was in Phuket and had what may have been the best night of my life(and i went home alone, albeit about 3 days later), but i believe that to have been because of the company i was with, many friends from previous trips and MTB was just crowded with my LOS friends.
Last year was in Bangkok, OK the bombs put us off a little but still had a very good night, but with less of my friends there.

So i reckon you get to MTB, make a lot of new friends and i promise you will have a ball, i shall be the quiet one in the corner drinking water

As for hotels, people have already been struggling for a while now to get places close to the action, so book if you can, i am out next week and have no idea where i am going to stay, but i have more importatnt things to worry about than a roof over my head.
