The Tunnel, anyone been?

Just curious if anyone has been to The Tunnel club on Langsuan Soi 5? I heard some positive buzz about it on my last tour, which didn't include Bkk unfortunately. Worth checking out next time perhaps?

I went last time I was in bangkok. Quite a big club and open until late I heard 6am sometimes. When I went they where playing trance music. You get quite a mix of people there as well.

You need photo ID to get in.

Highly recommended...was the highlight of the recent chunk of time I spent in bkk. Did a couple of Saturdays and a Sunday...Sats were packed, Sunday still had decent amount of people.

Impressive sound system and the DJ booth is bang in the middle of all the action which is nice to see rather than hidden away in a corner. When i was there the DJ's were great, not sure who they were but the music was up to date (progressive/techno or whatever they call it these days) and everyone in there seemed to be dancing rather than people watching.

Will be definitely be back the next time I am in town.

Been There

Went there awhile ago, back when I still lived in bangkok, Its on the expensive side in my opinion (like 600ish baht entry or something bottle of whisky cost the 8 of us 3500 baht I think + 200 baht cokes) Music was alright (good because you dont usually hear trance and such in thailand) although when I went back last christmas one of the route's on RCA was devoted to it. It seemed like there were quite a few farangs, All of us were underage however got in with just modified passport photocopies or fake IDs (we were 18-19), Pickup prospects are also apparently good as 3 of my friends went home with girls ;O.

Cool place (especially Wednesday nights) with great music but way way way too smoky. It's like they import smoke from surrounding bars.
