Hotel close to BST in BKK
Does anybody know if Novotel on Siam Square is GF?
If I can get a good rate I might try the Marriott.
In case those 2 options don't work I would like info on some hotels on Suk close to BST...and I did a search, that is how I got the names. Found some hotels through a search and provisionally narrowed it down to Adelphi and Majestic Grande. Any comments/sugestions?
Thanks.

I don't have any recent info, but I'm nearly 100% certain it is GF, since it is the location of the well-known CM2 disco and in the past I know it was GF since I've stayed there. Only the girls have to leave their IDs at the front desk, it was a very routine process and sometimes there was a waiting line! Security Guards stand at the elevators to ensure the girls leave the ID.
The only reason I hesitate is because the Sofitels have allegedly become non-guest friendly, and both being part of the Accor group, well you never know, someone else might have more info.
The Novotel was okay, and it is nice to be around Siam Square, so if you've never stayed in that area you might consider it for a few nights (if it proves to be GF of course!). I remember the breakfast buffet being really good (but only because it was my first trip to Thailand back when i actually woke up for breakfast, now I only have it if I am still awake for breakfast...).
ps. it's about a 4 minute walk from the BTS.

Thanks. I know the location and it is at the junction of the 2 BST lines, so very easy. Also a lot of shops, restaurants and so. Heard about CM2 but han't been there. Suppose it is a bit like Spasso.
If the hotel is not GF I would go to Sukhumvit.

I checked the 3 Grandes: Dynasty, Majestic and President. Also Adelphi, Dream (no bookings possible for March), Town Lodge and Citychick. I suppose I can limit myself to those plus Marriott and Novotel Siam.
Still waiting for rate of Marriott (have good experience with Marriott Pattaya) and more info about GF in Novotel (also checked in Pattaya pages). I could ask my friend as she frequented CM2 a lot...but that is asking the devil advice as she doesn't know I will be in BKK.

Hi There. I assume you mean BTS. Anyway, Novotel Siam is GF. I have stayed recently at both the Majestic grande and the Adelphi. I am going back to the Adelphi in March. It is about 1000 baht per night cheaper, bigger rooms, newer, 42" flat screen TV's. Both are very GF. Adelphi only one minute from Nana BTS. Novotel would be the worst choice out of all the Hotels you mentioned. JW Marriott is the most expensive and has the smallest rooms.
Good Luck

Novotel Siam Sq is GF up to a point.....it has a bht500 JF...which to me is taking the p!ss as it has one of the biggest freelancer discos in BKK in it's basement
I'd go Dynasty Inn Grande Cappy.....on the Nan doorstep but nive quie location with very nice big rooms and large pool.....available at bht2200 per night in advance (for one of the back rooms...via direct booking...no deposit required unless you are coming in late)...no need to spend more than that in BKK IMHO
