Desperate for a good hotel in Sukhumvit rd.
Since I now have a ticket booked for a while I still haven't sorted my hotel, and knowing the time (April) perhaps it's better I book one in Advance...
I'm looking something in Sukhumvit road i.e. easily accessible to the main attraction Nana yet preferably not to be just next to it which may create an image that I came there for only one thing (I may have a reason not to expose my intentions due to some circumstances this time)...
I'm not looking for the cheapest options because I know what they're like in Bkk... something with an LCD TV and wi-fi would be preferred...
After some browsing I came over to this: Le Fenix - Homepage
Has anyone ever stayed there and if so, what's their attitude to girls being brought back to the hotel? It seems now I can book it for a sub 2000TBH per double room for a night which seems less than I would expect for a decent hotel in Bangkok (if it is really decent)...
Otherwise, is there anything else for a similar price worth considering? Thanks guys!

Don't know how far away from Nana is "safe" for you. You may want to check out Majestic Grande Hotel. One soi over from Nana and about 400 meter walk. About 2500 baht IIRC.

Depending on your budget I have stayed many times at the Amari Blvd in Sukhumvit Soi 5. Close to everything, Soi 7 beer garden, Gullivers 100 yards up the road from the hotel is self, easy walking to Nana etc. As long as you book a room for 2, is GF, never had a problem.

i saw a hotel that looks very nice from the outside, it's called the Grand Inn hotel. don't see it in many hotel booking sites though. it's not THAT near to the action area, but not too far off either. doesn't look like an expensive hotel, it's clipped in the middle behind shophouses. but the exterior looks very modern and classy.

The Royal President on Soi 15 is my usual for the area. Very girl friendly and some great rooms with all the extras. Check out the Cattleya Suites.

Majestic suites.... https://majesticsuites.com/index.html ...yeah I know it just about shares a wall with the back of Nana Plaza but Sukhumvit is so crowded and chaotic no-one will notice you are walking distance to Nana Plaza around the corner...have not stayed at Le Fenix but to get your girl back to that hotel from Nana you would probably walk to Soi 8, cross over the footbridge (or go thru Nana Skytrain station) and then get a tuk-tuk or taxi up Soi 11...pain in the A... cause judging by their map its too far to walk (distance wise I would not walk to the end of Soi 8 and thats shorter on their map) ... I think you are on the wrong side of Sukhumvit Rd....you want to be discrete?...my advice stay close and get under cover quick....Enjoy.

I like the Adelphi Suites on Soi 8. Very short walk to Nana BTS, and a pleasant stroll to NEP, Biergarden, Gurrivers, etc.

I saw the hotel feature on the travel channel. Looks very "Miami or PLayboy" style to me.
I read some where it's a bit further from the nightlife scene?

Informed posts on other forums state that Le Fenix is definitely girl friendly.

Was interested in Le Fenix (and Citichic) also but think it is to far from Sukumvit (more exactly BST) so booked the Adelphi. Close to BST station

Le Fenix is GF. It may suit your needs if you dont want to be right in the heart of the action and want to appear "respectable". It is quite a walk from Sukumvitt Road but they are plenty of taxis heading past all the time.
Rooms are ok although a little small. "latestays" usually has it for around 1700 a night.

Booked yesterday for 25-28 March. Booked the biggest (exec suite) as it got sepparate bed- and nice "living room". Don't want to sleep in the kitchen.

Check these out
I'm coming to Thailand in April as well. I checked out the Le Fenix and the hotel itself looks alright, but the room look small and thrown together fast. Some other hotels I seen that looked nice were: The Key; CK Thai Bali Suite; Woraburi Sukhumvit Hotel & Resort; an Grand Inn Hotel. All of these look real nice for the price. Hope you hav a great Holi

Had a night here last December and i couldnt really recommend it....
booked a room for 3 people and this consisted of a double bed and a camp bed. Room was large but very dated. Have stayed in much better hotels around sukhumvit area. Although this one is only a 10 min walk to nana .

Is Majestic Suites a good hotel to stay for a group of girls going to BKK for shopping?

Thank you, but the rates seem pretty high, they are not prepared to pay anything more than 2000 Baht a night, and that's end of April.
