There was a drinking ban last weekend from 7pm Saturday through Sunday due to the elections (what elections - I thought they'd done that?). However many of the clubs found ways around it (not too subtle - no beer, but you could buy whisky with coke, but not without. Gullivers put bouncers on the door on saturday, and beer inside but not outside). I loathe coke, but no choice in many go-go bars. So even if there is a ban, it shouldn't be a problem. I went into a ladyboy bar (don't ask!) and they were only selling soft drinks - double the horror!

If you hate coke you could try gin tonic, vodka orange or something like that.

Didn't have the option in the bar I was in. It was whisky + coke or nothing...
