Just the one night in Bangkok help..''

Hello guys,

I've got a great trip lined up in a couple of weeks time, 7 nights in Cambodia, back to Bangkok for a connecting flight to Udon Thani, not been there before!! and the girl who i've been talking to on web cam is well worth the visit !

Only problem is my flight back to the UK in Bangkok is at lunchtime, so no flight back on the same day at time needed. So have got the flight back the day before.

Where can i go from the airport ? ie: will also need a hotel and some sort of night out or is there a place near the airport i should just hang out ? any advice greatly appreciated on how to play this.

I would head for Sukhumvit area near Nana Entertainment Plaza or Soi Cowboy. Get a hotel there for the night and enjoy.

The trip from the airport is a bout 30 minutes with no traffic and can exceed an hour during rush hour. The cost for the taxi should be about 350 baht including tolls and airport fees.

I've actually stayed in Nana a couple of months back and went to Soi Cowboy excellent had a blast thats where i met a ladyboy Bah Bah but that's another story on a different thread.

I was thinking of maybe talking it easy and staying closer to the airport may just play it by ear coming Nana will be ok again maybe, your right about the taxi the traffic was a nightmare took ages to go just a few hundred metres last time if it was a straight run in then great!

IF you choose to stay out there, about 8pm you'll start realising it is your last night in Thailand and you are doing.....**** all.

Then you'll log on here asking for info on where to go with 5 hours to killl instead of a day.

Just accept you will wanna have a nice evening and some fun, 100's of hotels to choose from, splash a bit of cash, stay in the New Millenium, head to Cowboy and have a great night.

Your probably right come the time i will most likely want to be out enjoying the last night into town and enjoy Bangkok i think is best.

I had a late arrival into BKK and early flight out next morning so a trip into Nana was not practical - I satyed in a hotel called Convienient Hotel, was picked up for 150bahts & taken back next morning price included in room rate. Couple of girls for light entertainment Tel +6623274118, but Bangkok is better !!

I would also head down town to NEP it just gives you more options if you decide to go exploring. Staying near the airport would be a little boring but good for a quiet night no doubt and if you have a super early flight next morning it might be your best option.

Good luck either way and have a good trip to cambo. It would be good if you could do a trip report, never been to cambo but will one day

Just called the above number and got through to the Bumrungrad Hospitals Genitourinary clinic.......

Well, if you come into Suwarnanbhumi you can stay at the Novotel. Just walk through the carpark. My preference is to stay around Sukhumvit Rd between Nana and Soi Cowboy. If you are a Cheap Charlie you could just go to Suzie Wong's on Soi Cowboy, get a ST room (100 baht) and a girl (2,000 baht) and delay your ejaculation!
