Town Lodge hotel
Hi
I had to stay in Town Lodge Hotel BKK for 2 nights because Nana and Majestic Suites where sold out. I did not have time to look for other hotels.
I have to say that I really didn't like the place. Its on Sukhumvit soi 18, the last hotel. The location is terrible, at least if you don't like walking, and I don't. The rooms where clean but not nice. In the evening I had to chase some mosquitos.
The hotel has no problems with girls. In fact when I came back to the hotel without one, the reseptionist offered one for me. Now, this is room service
I won't tell you wat I did, it's up to your imagination....
Still, I won't be going back there. There are lots of better and cheaper places to stay in BKK. If you have a choise, don't stay here!

I've stayed at Nana Hotel, good and sleazy, across the road from Nana plaza. Book early, as the place fills quickly.

I was thinking today of booking the Town Lodge in September... I have booked a room there twice before and changd my mind. I have read Hotel Reviews today that suggest their sister hotel Swiss Grottino is a better choice.
Although Town Lodge does have jacuzzi rooms starting at 2500 THB with Thaihoteldiscounts.com

ok w/me
I've stayed at the town lodge, but the suite building (with wifi) and thought it was a nice place to stay, more like a large apartment. Kinda old but I'd stay there again in a heartbeat.

Has anyone stayed in one of the Jacuzzi suites? If some pics could be uploaded that would be great!

Alternative to lown lodge
Hi there,
For me when ever the Majestic suites are full I allways book the Everrich Inn between soi5 and soi7. Nice and clean, the king room is good. The price is ok and it's close to the Sky train, Nana, and food land on soi5 for your groceries...to me this is the best alternative to the majestic suites. This is the link.
ever rich inn , Hotel , Sukumvit
Have fun....

I've stayed several times in the jacuzzi suites at the Town Lodge. They are excellent value for money. Below are some photos from one of the suites as well as the lobby and the Toxic Bar on the ground floor of the hotel. You can see more photos from Toxic in my trip report here and here.. The relevant pics are at the bottom and top of the linked pages.

I've stayed at the Town Lodge a few times but not for a couple years, it was OK apart from the construction noise at the rear of the hotel and the fact that it's right down the end of the soi and a bit far from the action, they do have a free tuktuk service though and I guess the construcion is completed now.
Girls are available from Toxic which is adjacent to the hotel but ST and LT prices were a bit steep when I stayed there, I did sample one honey though. I only stayed there because a good mate drinks at Toxic and is friends with Ralph the Swiss owner of the bar.
There are definitely better options for the same room rate however I've stayed in far worse places.

Sorry. I've fixed the link now, but it carries you to more pics of Toxic, rather than the hotel room. I'll see if I have more pics from the actual rooms.
The jacuzzi suites are the main attraction of the Town Lodge. It's difficult to find suites with a jacuzzi for the TL's price - 2,500 baht/night. The TL is a small hotel (about 40 rooms total, I believe), but it is very guest friendly and the girls like it because they are always treated with respect by the staff. They also like the Toxic Bar for the same reason. The girls feel welcome, rather than just tolerated. Anyway, I'll see if I can dig up more pics of the TL rooms.
It's about a 10-minute hike from the corner of Sukhumvit Road to the TL, which is at the very end of Soi 18. The free tuk-tuk service will take you from TL to Robinson, the BTS station or other near-by points. In terms of nightlife, the TL is more convenient for Soi Cowboy, Soi 33 or the nightclubs and bars on Soi 22 than Nana. I never found the walk a problem and in any case there are plenty of taxis that cruise along Soi 18, but for people for whom walking is difficult, the TL isn't a good choice. There's no elevator in hotel, either.
In terms of nightlife, the TL is more convenient for Soi Cowboy, Soi 33 or the nightclubs and bars on Soi 22 than Nana.

OK I made my mind up and booked the Jacuzzi Suite at Town Lodge! I found the room for 2420 THB which is an excellent price and 600 THB cheaper than booking direct with hotel!!!
I nearly went with a Deluxe Room at Dream Hotel for the low season of 3537 THB but I have wanted to try TL for a while! So that got my vote.
So everything is now ready for my August trip!!

I felt the same way about Town Lodge. The service and cleanliness was fine but I thought the location was a pain. I moved over to Dream Hotel - comparatively pricey but a great place. All mod cons and mood lighting, wall-mounted flat TV. I walked passed reception with 2 girls in toe and I felt that the reception staff made an effort to pretend they hadn't even noticed me.
