Soi Cowboy/Nana Plaza Questions...

Im going to Soi Cowboy for the first time next week! (Then back over to Pattaya ofcourse)..

My questions are.. How far is Cowboy from Airport and Nana in taxi minutes? Is it even worth going to Nana after Cowboy..., and what are some good hotels walking distance from Cowboy(cheap, cozy and clean).. Thanks again Mates!

pS. You were right.. Soi 6 Pattaya has some dirty girls.. just like i like em... lol!

From the airport to nanaplaza or cowboy I think it will take about 45min or longer, depending on traffic. From Soi Cowboy to nana plaza is 1 stop with the skytrain or a short taxiride. Don't know about hotels around Soi Cowboy.

The time from the airport to Nana./SC varies greatly with traffic. I have taken the trip in just 20 minutes and it has been as long as nearly two hour. Outside of rush-hour, it shouldn't be much more than 30 minutes.

Ok, getting to Nana by Taxi from the airport depends on traffic. It can be 45 minutes onwards.

Realistically, I would get a hotel by Nana, Soi 4. Hotels are plentiful there and not pricey. It's a short taxi ride or as someone has already said, 1 stop on the BTS from Nana to Asok or vice versa. Hell you can walk it in about 15 to 20 minutes. I generally do now because I like the exercise (NOT A CHEAP CHARLIE).

Both are good areas, although I find Nana more "trashy" than Cowboy but love them both. I do think the prettier girls are on Soi Cowboy but that's just my opinion. However there are many good looking girls at Nana and also you have all the pool bars there aswell, and I think there are more women to chose from at Nana. However this is up to you, and based on my experiences.

Is it worth going to Nana after Cowboy? This is really an up to you answer. I mean, I prefer Cowboy and usually stay in just one area for a night out. But as they are so close, it's good to do both. However, don't start planning should I do both or stick on one until you see how the night wears on. If you don't fare well on Cowboy go to Nana or vice versa.

Have a good night though.

Only strolled down Cowboy once, come to think of it. Maybe I should spend a night there just to see what its like.

I like the sleaze and debauchery of Nana!! Mak mak!

Have a look at them both.....just for the experience of course.

I was disappointed at both the quality and quantity of the girls at closing time this year but found the Angels disco in Nana had a lot of great looking girls

Last time thru Nana was absolute horror, every bar irritated me. Some of the DJs would constantly yell into the Mic, yelling way too loud, cutting off the music. Some gogos mixed in LBs in with the dancers.
Even Angelwitch was lame. Every chic wanted 2000ST or 4K LT and if they agreed to LT they would get to the hotel and opt for the ST.
Only gogo at Nana that had a good lineup, staff and music was the afterskool gogo on the 1st floor on the right.
If they shut down Nana, it would be ok.

Cowboy was much better. I am looking at staying at the Tai Pai hotel, just around from Soi cowboy.

Tai Pan?

Stayed there before?

Notoriously unfriendly to (your) guests.

Agree with this.

Dollhouse, Baccara and Suzy Wong's all have quality. Nana has a few nice girls but Cowboy is packed. Better atmosphere.

Really? Never stayed there just looked like a perfect spot. I'll be there with my pseudo gf. So it would be nice if they treated her well.
Oh well I'm also looking at Town Lodge on Soi 18. Looks like I can walk from there to Asoke without breaking much of a sweat.
Thanks for the tip.

MATT i was planning to stay at tai pan in november 2007 but was warned off it by a mate who had stayed there and was charged 800 bhat for taking a bg back there.

i always stay at the honey hotel on sukhumvit soi 19 1000 bhat a night no joiner fees and only about 7-8 mins walk from cowboy nice pool and has a beer garden next door with good cheap draught beer and food

also town lodge has a 2nd hotel on soi 19 down the bottom next to the country roads bar

if you want email address for honey hotel PM me

Town lodge is fine, but I think Grottino (the other hotel on Soi 19 in the sub soi behind Robinsons is better)

Country roads Bar is long gone so no use using it as a reference.

It's been gone for ages, the bars closed down probably 8-9 months ago. The building was demolished about 3-4 months ago.

They moved the business to Jomtiem.

Yep and the people and items from the Soi 19 bar were relocated to the Jomtiem business (unless of course anyone chose not to go)

Sid when are you going to be there? You could try Playboyyyyyyyy which is a popular short time hotel but still neat and clean.
