Question Guest friendly hotel in Bangkok

Does any one know if the Rembrandt Hotel (Soi 18) and the Windsor Hotel (Soi 20) is guest friendly hotel.

I.e. Is it possible to take a girl (BG) to the hotel and how much do I have to pay?

Thanks,

Neroz

According to the info I collected a few years ago, I can tell you that:
Rembrant is guest friendly.
Windsor is NOT.

Bobby

I stayed in the Rembrant on my 1st trip to los.

In the room was a list of hotel policy guidelines which clearly stated that guests would not be allowed to the room at any time of day or night.

The Landmark...

Dear Fellow,
If your budget allows it then take the Landmark on Sukumvith - it is the best... ALL GUEST is allowed and now counting is made. U can bring all the girls U want without any hazzle... Even with a big smile from the staff...
Enjoy.

According to me ambassador is a very good hotel. I once slept there for one night.

Is situated at a prime spot in the heart of fashionable Sukhumvit Rd., Bangkok's legendary commercial district. Half an hour from Bangkok's Don Muang Internation Airport, close to Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre, and near great shopping and entertainment venues, the Ambassdor is only two minutes walk from Nana Skytrain Station.

Nana hotel, a guest friendly hotel

I have just been in Bangkok and stayed for the 6th time in the Nana Hotel, Soi 4, (Soi Nana). Quality fairly good and cheap rates.

You can drag a dog and a pony show into the hotel, nobody mind, however the guests have to leave their ID at the security guard next to the lift.

The swimming pool area have been rebuild including a big Jacuzzi (placed in the corner hiden away allowing for some norty play). Very nice indeed. But the sun will go away around 16 due to the building around the pool.

There is also a bar and disco which is heavy populate in the night and morning as NEP, just across the street, closed at 01:00. Even the parking place in front of the hotel is crowed until 04 in the morning.

I stayed at the Grand Inn Hotel right on Soi 3 for my first trip out there.

It's right across from the corner leading to Nana (Sukhumvit and Soi 3) and fairly cheap (1,220Baht/night w/taxes included). The room didn't stink and was clean, the water pressure was great and the water was hot. Had ZERO problems with bringing in the girls, they just took their ID's.

Here's the website:

I saw the Majestic and it definately looked nice, was fully booked when I was there though. I have some pics and trip reports coming up...funny the things that you can learn on your first trip....

First of all the Rembrandt Hotel is expensive, and the second, it allmost just farang old couples that stays there (german, sweedish etc...) When I was there I had no problem to bring my TG there, but we checked in together. The first night I was staying there I was the only farang man with a thaigirl. If looks could kill I had been dead many times. Every farang couples point their eyes in me. But I don't care. The second day, it came a man with a thaigirl when I was going out to drink. Seems like he had some problem to bring his TG to the room. He ask for the manager for the hotel, becouse they had said to him that it was ok to bring his girlfriend. But the girls that was work in the reception would let him take the girl to his room. When I went they gave hime a form to fill out, and think he had to pay som thousand bath extra for taking the girl up to his room. He looks verry angry to me.

Had I been you, I would get a nice cheap hotel round 1500 bath. insted of paying 3300 bath at the rembrandt. But up to you mate...

I use the Rembrandt most times I stay in BKK (tried the Westin this time but was like 3 days in a building site).

I'd say The Rembrandt is overly for or against joiners. Yes, you get the usual disclaimers in the room but if you either (a) check in with TG or (b) carry your door key with you and come back after 2:30am, no problemos. Worst thing you can do is stagger in at 2am with a BG and ask for your key. If so, would get hassle above.

Always pay 50 USD from web site & have seen loads of western guys with TGs in there. I suppose it depends when you are there.

Nice pool & Indian restaurant there by the way, but the food by the pool is pricey & distictly average.

Thumbs up 2 recommendations for Bangkok girl friendly hotels. ( my 2 favourites)

My two favorites are President Park on Soi 24 (love the area too) and The Mayfair Executive Apartments (by Marriott,) on Lang Suang. The President Park can go for less than USD70 and has a huge rambling pool as well as gym.
They don't even ask for ID from the girls, however, I think it is a good idea to deposit it with he front desk anyway.
There is an extensive list of guest (girl) friendly hotels in Bangkok at <-----this site.

The Ambassador Hotel Bangkok ,Thailand Hotel - Luxury accommodations in Bangkok, sukhumvit, Thailand : www.amtel.co.th

Fee for a "guest" is 600 baht. My experience there was ordinary, tired room, breakfast was a frenzy with insufficient seating. Staff were okay though and I agree the location is good.
