Bangkok - Where do young Thai people socialise in BKK?

Hi

I'm going to Bangkok with my girlfriend in a couple of weeks for the second time and want to go to a few pubs/clubs where young Thai people or students go to get a bit of the 'real' Thailand. Does anyone know or can recommend somewhere suitable? I went to the Q Bar last time so have already done that.

If it's any help we're only there for a few days - Wednesday, Thursday and Friday night.

Hope someone can help!

RCA, I believe. I have never been there myself but I know it is popular among youngsters.

Bar d,sukhumvit soi 39 (trendy)

Mystique,sukhumvit soi 31 (trendy and similar to Q-bar),go only fri-sat..no people other days

and already mentioned "RCA" up on New Petchburi Rd..young crowd..between 16 and 25 I belive,where u find "bars" such as Morgan,Sterio and Route 66..

and two clubs/bars called Hollywood and Narcassious (maybe missed spelled?)..forgot the exact adress...

Hey Marc 26 hows it going! Any Idea where the BED is, what street is it on?
I would really like to go there the next time I'm in town I couldn't find the place the last time i was in Bangkok.

Hi Monkfish

On a saturday night a friend of mine and I visited hollywood disco in BKK, I did not really like the place. You have to pay 5oo baht entrance fee, and then you get 3 corona's for free or some whiskey.

Atmosphere was a little bit to clubby for me, and I did not like the non stop Thai house music.

Thanks everyone for all the responses, didn't expect to get so many recommendations. We've heard lots of good things about Bed so will definitely go there and hopefully take in a few of the other places too.

We fly out on Tuesday, can't wait!

Bed Supper club will ask to see your passport before they will let you in. no id no entrance. the club room was hammered when we went last time too busy ended up going in the room to the left more chilled out music.

I just went there and was able to use my US drivers licence to get in. No passport was needed.

QBar is right around the corner if Bed is too crowded. One of these days, I gotta make it out to RCA.

You want where the average thai groups go?

Forget QBar, Bed, Narcissus full of wannabee social elite types - noses high and manners to match.

RCA, but for the real deal, where people will talk to you and you will be a novelty with a good chance of being taken home by someone who wants no more than some fun.
