I stayed there just before Xmas and found it okay. 1090 THB/night for last-minute booking 16-22 Dec 2004. The room was not large, but not cramped, linen clean and changed daily, bathroom okay with all necessary facilities. Rooms bigger and in better repair than at the Nana according to a couple of girls. No joiner or extra fees for one 'other person' but 300 THB each for three or more Girls supposed to leave ID at desk. Staff were okay and quite helpful. Safe deposits at front desk. Restaurant/bar in main lobby okay for breakfast.
Had a room in the block behind the main building which was accessible not just by passing through the reception but via an alleyway down the side of the hotel closest to Nana Plaza. In theory it seemed possible to sneak a girl in by the alley without leaving ID at the desk. Although there is a security desk on the block, manned in the evenings, they never questioned any of my comings or goings or anyone with me. The rooms in this block were quiet, both in terms of noise from the roads and the neighbours
Best of all it's just a few metres down Soi4 from Nana Plaza.
Final Tip; Check the ventilation grill inthe bathroom - I found a 20 THB note in there...
Enjoy.
Cheers,
K.

I stayed there in November and it can't be beat for the price. Location is superb. Ask for the new block rooms. They are more modern and smell fresher than the older ones.

There are the stalls along Sukhumvit and Robinsons department store up the road. Pratunam shopping district is 2 sky train stops away and a short walk, and Siam Square with MBK is only 3 sky train stops.

Yeah make sure you get the new rooms.. I got lumped into an 'old room' and over charged one time when I turned up without booking digs and majestic was full..
To be honest I found the desk staff attitudy and less than friendly.. also tried to rip me off over 500 baht 'deposit' that they claimed they hadnt taken until I found my reciept.. Things like that dont get me rebooking..
Contrast that with majestic round the corner who have been simply perfect to me every stay.. I happily pay the tiny price difference for the service, smile, in room wireless, and much much higher quality room that Majestic offers..
All in all not a bad place but has got rich out of NEP and I dont think is 'value' even though its not expensive..

The Dynasty Inn Group advertise free transportation between Bangkok and Pattaya for guests staying at their properties at both locations. What is the required number of nights one must stay at each in order to qualify for this service?

I stayed there plenty of times. Very friendly staff and affordable prices. No complaints.

Taxi driver from the airport metioned that there was a new Dynasty Inn (Dynasty2) just opened further down Nana Sua. I'll try and get the energy together to go and have a look, maybe tomorrow. I was gang-raped by a lone TG last night from Cowboy2 and she has only just released me - bit battered and sore all-over, might only-just be able to manage an afternoon BGS7 gal...

The new Dynasty are very nice. Big rooms.
Some people are complaining of the noice from the construction they do around the hotel.
I didn't notice but I had to go up early.
They hv a nice pool also, but could be noisy because of the construction.
I can recomend it.
They don't hv any internet in the rooms which is bad.

Used to stay there every trip - but got sick of the street kids persistently selling flowers and making a nuisance of themselves . Also very time consuming crossing the soi at sukhumvit intersection. Much better value at Soi 8 Royal Asia Loge - only 1100 baht and much more peacefull.
