I've stayed there. It's very near the airport, which means it's far, far from the centre of Bangkok. A real pain to get in and out of the city and quite expensive, even if you get a meter taxi.

The hotel itself is OK, but very, very impersonal - the staff are fairly miserable all the time, nothing like most happy-go-lucky Thai people you meet. You could be in any business traveller's hotel, anywhere in the world. It's very overpriced for what it is.

Two advantages: it has quite a nice poolside area with sunloungers and a cafe/bar if you just want to spend a quiet day. Also, it's quite near Chatuchak weekend market and they have a free shuttle bus there and back. I think Chatuchak would also be the nearest BST station. If it isn't Chatuchak, it's the station that's at the very end of the northbound line.

Unless you're using it for an overnight stay so you can get quickly to the airport in the morning, I wouldn't recommend it.

Thanks Paddy for excelent reply.
FOr sure I should take you recommendations in consideration when to choose the hotel. I'm always in transit in Bangkok when going to other places like Phuket,Samui,Hua Hin. Coz Bangkok is a big city with high level of pollution and to reach somewhere else within Bangkok area we waste lot of time .We always stay in DMA oz near the expressway.
Do youhave more opinions?
Thanks in advance
Isabella

It all depends on what you want to do and where you want to go. But the hotels at the lower end of Sukhumvit Road (up to, say, Soi 33) put you pretty close to just about anywhere. And the BTS runs all along Sukhumvit so there's always a station near.

Then you just have to decide how much you want to spend on your hotel per night. It's all there, from cheap as chips to outrageously expensive.

As for the pollution - there's not really much you can do about it. Personally, I sort of like the dirt and the stink; it's all part of the vibrant, crazy BKK experience which I absolutely love. But if you want to escape it for a while, there's nothing better than a riverboat trip.
