Dynasty Inn, almost next door to Nana Plaza, quiet room around the back, not huge but okay. Girl friendly (one at a time, joiner for more than one). 1090THB/night.

Nana Hotel for me every time, basic, cheap, sense of humour and switched on when it comes to keeping you safe.

Miami suk 13 700bht w/ pool and aircon
Old Vietnam era hotel w/ large clean rooms (a bit run down) , aircon , hot water , fridge , TV but only shit channels , great small clean pool , coffee shop , no joiner fee (ask to be sure when check in. Iv never paid but have stayed many times) . Can check in anytime if they have room (big deal at 7am when your spent from travel) . Lots of late night drinking outside on sidewalk . A stumble away from Nana and even closer to sky train . Great haircut next door . Breakfast by the pool 40-80 bht . Bla Bla Bla ... Staff a bit cold but warm when they get to know you . straight/gay/LB no problem ... best deal on suk . 700 bht

Woraburi Hotel & resort, might also b an alternative...Sukhumvit Soi 4..far down the rd.. Silent part of the area..but still close 2 action! No problems with taxis or just grab a motorbike taxi for 10Bht...Its walking distance if u prefer that...
Guestfriendly. Small, nice swimming pool on the roof top with bar.
Smaller breakfast included. Air con, refrig, saftey box,24/7 service..
Standard of rooms vary..same as prices, but never paid more than 950Bht...
Hotel is not fancy but can b recommended for its calm location..and privacy!

Miami
They dont have a web site . Just get in a cab at airport or where ever and ask them to go to the Miami on suk 13 . If they dont know the Miami they do know suk 13 . I dont have a phone # at this time , but i never have reservations and never have any problem . Never been there in the Dec-Jan high season though .
I dont think you can get a better place w/ a pool in BKK and for sure on suk for the price .

Stayed in Miami hotel last month, one word......DUMP. You may aswell pay 100B extra and stay in the Ruamchitt Plaza just down the road above the Thermae coffee shop. Great, clean, friendly hotel. Couldn't ask for more. Plus its halfway between Nana and Cowboy.

I agree!
Miami Hotel is a DUMP.
I stayed there in february. I was planning to stay a week, but left aftrer one night.
Bad room, bad a/c, useless bed and rude staff.
To pay extra 300B and stay in another place is well spent money.

I wouldnt say nice things about either of them.. They are both ok but both pretty low rent..
Considering how much you spend on a night in BKK I dont economise but a couple 100 baht (for a month or long stay ok sure)..
Majestic suites.. Nice clean, marble / granite bathrooms, in room safe, in room wireless internet (new not tried it), no joiner, right on the Suk / 4 junction next toi a BTS.. Easy..

LivinLos I've written to majestic suites, it's fullbooked on the days I need, I'm looking for a hotel for about 1000 baht per night, I've a prebook at the woraburi hotel, but I'm not too sure about their guest policy, they wrote me booking a duble room I can stay two pax in the room, but what is goin on if I arrive with a girl on the morning and a different girl on the afternoon, or I want two girls at the time??
That's way I'd prefer an hotel absolutely guestfriendly!!!

Try Alta House. Jonas stayed there and was happy with it.

It IS absolutely guest friendly (multiple girls at once no problem).. IF you book the 1500 double room..
Book the 1200 single which is the same rooms I think.. Not sure as never tried.. and then I think they have some kind of charge / policy..
1500 a night and you can bring back a whole gogo..

Alta House was really good place to stay and near to the action "Nana Plaza"
I stay in a room "Balcony" you can see on website , this room was perfect and i see Nana Plaza from balcony , this is more expensive but you stay like a prins ....
But according to Bono my room was to small !!! it was only same size as his toilet at Majestic Suites ....

You are right about the website; not good at all. The Alta House looks good though, I might look into that for my next trip.
I have always said that the Nana Hotel is a little low rent, but so am I , the place suits because I am never there for more than a couple of nights and am right in the place I want to be.

Do yourself a favour and stay anywhere else but the Miami, there are so many other options. It was a dump when I first stayed there about 14 years.
