can anyone help me name a hotel?

Hello folks.

As you walk along Soi 4, away from Nana Plaza, on the same side of the road, there's a big modern hotel. About 5-10 minutes walk from NEP. It has quite a lot of storeys (maybe more than 20), with the facing all in black glass. Possibly, it's a serviced apartments block rather than a regular hotel. It's near a bar with loads of pool tables called The Brunswick and a much smaller hotel called the Swan Inn.

I thought that I'd really like to stay there next time I come to BKK - but I can't remember what it's called! For some reason I thought it was The Majestic Suites, but when I looked at their website, I realised I was wrong.

Does anyone know what it's called?

Thanks.

A bit more top-end than Majestic so maybe not the right one, try their website.

The Omni

If you're walking down soi 4, away from Nana on the same side of the street, the only place I can think of that's that big is the Omni. I've never stayed there, but from what I hear it's OK as a short-term rental, so long as you don't mind the walk. Supposedly, you can usually get a deal if you talk to the manager in person.

Thanks guys!

Thanks for all your help, everyone. The big cigars go to Rex and Mlay - you're quite right guys, it was the Omni I was thinking of. I recognised the name and then the picture straight away. Hopefully we'll meet up in Patong some time and you'll let me buy you all a drink!

By the way, I've now had a look at the Omni website. Partly because it is serviced apartments, not actually a hotel, it's not a bargain to stay there - prices start from 1900 bt. a night for a studio (although it gets cheaper if you stay LT). On the other hand, that's not bad value compared to other high-end hotels. Even the Woraburi, which is a bit of a dump really, charges 1350 if it can get away with it. And if you got a room on one of the higher floors you'd be sure to have a mega view.

I think I'll check it out just for one night and stay longer if it's good. I'll let you know the score! Thanks again.
