for one night only

I'll be arriving in BKK on 29th december at about 20:00 hrs and flying to Phuket the next day probably in the afternoon. So, I will need a hotel for the night. I quite fancy a trip to NEP so a hotel in that area would do. Usual requirements (GF, not to pricey, safebox in room, clean). A pick up from the airport would not go amiss either. Any advice folks?

Gez, have you ever been to the Nana Hotel?

Whenever I am in Bangkok for one night I stay there. Very girl friendly, over the road from Nana Plaza so you will never have problems getting home. The carpark is nothing more than an open-air knocking shop and if you don't see anything to your liking there is the Angels Disco in the back of the hotel.

It is a little low rent, but it is quite an experience.

Talbotman

I USUALLY STAY at the honey hotel which is in soi 19 its 7 mins walk from both nep and soi cowboy the soi 7 beer garden is 5 minutes away it is 800 bhat a night and has its own taxi service i am sure they could send a taxi for you only 2 floors so no lift also has swim pool although you wont need it being there for only 1 day. main reason i stay there apart from location is the staff very friendly and no problem with taking guests back.

Majestic Suites

Majestic Suites at just over a 1000 per night have a safe in the room.

On the downside, the rooms are small and Taxi's can not pick up or drop off! Although i have watched from reception as guy's who are travelling light flag one down on Sukhumvit Road.

Last time I stayed at Nana hotel it didn't have a room safe. Majestic however does thou it's a couple hundred baht more then Nana. Nana has breakfast buffet vs. Majestic's ordering 2 eggs, toast, ham, oj. Both provide this as part of staying there. Majestic has room controls on nightstand thou real easy to turn on/off lights, air con, tv. Nana has a few more malang then Majestic it seemed.

If you just ask the porter at the door, He will get you a taxi but your right he does not stop at the door, Instead the taxi will pick you pick you up about 200yards from the hotel, A very short walk and if you have bags they will carry them for you, Really good hotel

The corner of Soi 4 and Suk is about 12 paces left out of the door... Shorter distance than walking accross some hotel lobbies..
