Nana Hotel booking

I'm booking a room for a few days in early November.I read somewhere (can't find it now) that it's best to get a room on the upper floors. Is this because of the noise from the Disco, and how high up should I be?Is there a section of the hotel I should request to stay in or is it not possible to reserve a specific room or floor over the internet?
Also,is there much differance between a standard and superior room.(larger, better view?)Any help from Nana Fans would be appreciated.

Stayed at nana hotel in August and booked a superior room via internet. Don`t know exactly the difference to standard maybe look at there roompictures in the internet. Room was huge with a big bathroom clean and aircondition was so powerfull that we have to run it in minimum mode so we don`t get frozen.

Have had the room in 3th floor, yes it was very noise from disco. On the other side the pool is located on 3th floor .

In an other thread i found best price for nana should be here:

I am a Nana fan and have never asked for a specific room to be honest. Standard rooms are generally 1100baht or so and suit me fine.

I don't think it's ever going to be the quitest of places, but if I had a preference it would be the front (facing the car park and Sukhumvit, NEP to the left) just for the view of the car park

Nana Plaza was closed down bang on 1am last time I was there, so it's not like that will keep you awake all night. And there are no rooms at ground floor level, they are all upstairs and I don't see what difference it makes which floor you are on. For me, as low as poss then I don't need to take a lift.

Also, I have always found them helpful. Any specific questions you have might be cleared up via e-mail, they always get back to me PDQ.

Thaks for the info guys I did a little reading over at nanaplaza.com and apparently you can't reserve a specific room or floor anyway so that simplifies things!Email has been sent.
Some people did mention that the view from the 7th floor up is good(if thats your thing)and that if they're not fully booked you can always ask for a room change once you're there.
I know some would shake their heads, but I'm looking forward to my stay at the Nana as much as any other part of my trip.I'm a big freelancer fan and a people watcher so I doubt I'll be disapointed. plus I Bangkok.

Here's an amusing quote I picked up.Not meant to be serious just good for a chuckle.

""If you're out of the sex scene there are nicer places to stay for the money
If you're in the loop however, you have just found your vacation cabin by the lake"

Don't forget that the Nana Hotel has a discount of 20% if you stay for 30 days or more. I had to ask for this when I paid my bill. But they were happy to honor the discount. I know that sounds like along time, but time does fly when you're having fun.

Love it or Hate it !

There are very few more emotive subjects on these Bangkok forums than the Nana Hotel! Everyone who has stayed there has an opinion on the establishment, and for what it's worth i adore the place
It suits me just fine and when ever i stay somewhere else due to GF or business reasons i miss the place like crazy
Your holiday begins the moment you check in and on one occasion no sooner had i done that, a horny little fox sitting in the foyer approached me and asked me where my lady was ! When i replied, ''no have lady'' She took my hand and accompanied me to the lift much to the ammusment of the receptionist, porter and even the security guard
A standard room is adequate for my needs; i know they are tired and worn but everything works, sheets and towels are clean, water is hot with plenty of pressure and the television has MTV,CNN & BBC plus free movies and the massive beds comfortably sleep 1 guy + 3 girls . For heavens sake at 1100 baht a night with the worlds biggest brothel on your doorstep, who's bothered about the fixtures and fittings
My only problem is that it is too damm popular, a reservation is absolutely essential and i understand Christmas is already booked up.
