Rembrandt Hotel Bangkok
I was wondering if any BM's have recent experiences with Rembrandt Hotel in Bangkok on Soi 18? ( http://hotel.rembrandtbkk.com/)
I found these two threads but they are almost a year old now.
http://www.phuket-info.com/forums/ba...ight=rembrandt
http://www.phuket-info.com/forums/ge...ight=rembrandt
I am going with two colleagues and they would like to stay at Rembrandt. I tried booking us at Majestic Suites first (down by NEP) but they were fully booked.
I am interested in hearing about any experiences you have with the hotel - good or bad - and also if you know of their current positions on overnight guests
Thx a lot!

Very nice hotel but you certainly won't be trotting in & out with a different girl on your arm each day, the clietele there are usually farang couples with a bit of money so it's frowned upon.
On my first trip to los I stayed there, saw the zero guest policy and decided to have a quiet word in private with the manager to see if there was an arrangment we could come to, the manager was not interested even in some joiner fee money. I left it at that and was glad to leave.
Other guys have posted that they have seen guys with thai women, perhaps these are married though as I didn't see even 1 in 5 days stay.
There are many other hotels that are guest friendly you could try, like the Dynasty.

There breakfast Buffet was the best i have ever had. Allso there Lunch Buffet was the best I ever had. I wasent impressed when the first morning I rocked up for breakfast and they told me I could not wear my tank top, and had to change into a shirt. Snobby reception, Snobby everything. Room was nice. There little gym was trash. Would I go back, nope....I would find somewhere else.

Extremely unlikely. The Conrad brand is up there with the best, those types of properties dont allow that type of going ons.

After surveying the "market" for a bit more I managed to persuade the other to guys not to go for the Rembrandt hotel.
We have now booked the Majestic Grande Suite on the Majestic Grande instead, and since that hotel is GF then we are going to fill up the 240 square meters and the 3 jacuzi's with loads of naked Thai girls

Its a very nice hotel indeed...top notch good staff.
Not GF....but try their apparments they are.
If your into Mexican food...they have the best mexican restaurant in all of SE "Senor Pichos of LA", I have tried..good Mexiacan food...cant comment if its the best..since i usually tend to eat thai.
On the the top of the Hotel is a very nice Indian restaurant..with a stunning view Bangkok's skyline...and lumpini park.
Bangkok Luxury Hotel and Apartments: Rembrandt Hotel and Towers Bangkok
The Indian restaurant is called Rang Mahal...and its very good...every sunday they have brunch, all you can eat for 510Bth.
They have a nice pool, on the 5th floor i think is is, good gym and so on....Indeed a very nice place, stayed there a few times with family and a girlfriend.
Its a bit down Soi 18 on Sukhumvit...not far from Soi Cowboy and the skytrain..
It also has its own cab service.

unfortunately we dont have a choice.
we are not getting the flight from dubai to bkk and the only way to get a seat on it is if you choose to book your hotel accomodation through emirates. i requested for majestic suites as my first preference but they dont have any deals with them so they suggested rembrandt.
so we have to book 2 nights with emirates...after that we're off to phuket but on return to bkk we hope to get rooms in majestic suites.
is it easy to get rooms in majestic suites for 2 nights first week of jan if we inquire with them a week earlier?

Stayed at Rembrandt first time in Bangkok (back when i was stupid).
Nice hotel, excellent location for Soi Cowboy, but not girl-friendly. Charged a 1000 THB joiner fee.

Can't speak for Conrad Bangkok, however, Conrad Singapore is totally guest friendly, so it cannot be a corporate policy.
EDIT: Just realized that I replied to a year old post, solly. Nonetheless the answer is still good and definitely current.
