grizzly man
i heard about this documentary and watched it today
its about this nutter, to paraphrase our esteemed bm LIL, who has lived out in the alaskan mountains every summer for 13yrs with grizzlies
the premise, wether you agree or not, is pretty good, but what makes it worth watching is watching the antics of this complete nutter trying to interact, giving them names. guys completely out of his mind
in the end he ends up getting eaten by the bears, which is tragic, yet kinda funny since he was so pompous in thinking he was one of them.
have to see it just to laugh

Saw it. I though the ending was kind of ironic like he should have been nominated for the Darwins. Didn't like his pompous attitude but respected his courage for doing the things he did.
Am I the one sick one or was anyone else kind of curious to hear was on his last tape?

saw parts of this. Also read the newspaper articles about him when he got killed. He came off a little paranoid at times on the video and think he might have been an admirer of the Blair Witch Project based on the photographic style.
It amazes me that people do this stuff with certain animals. There was a recreational abalone diver in Northern California who was told by some local fisherman that there was a very large and aggressive great white shark in the area that he normally free dove for abalone. They had seen it multiple times over a week. The guy still went free diving a day later and the shark took the guys head off.
