Was watching this the other night, its an Aussie production so not sure if you other guys would have seen it.
In one scene, the farang lawyer is talking to the Thai prosecution team, Farang lawyer: "This is my country, I choose to live here!" Thai Police Major: "No this is our country, we choose to let you live here!!" Among other little anti farang comments thrown about, and this movie was made back in 1989, so little has changed in Thai attitudes towards farang since then.

Yes saw Part 2 of it Steve (3 part series) and saw that scene.....had a chuckle to myself and thought the same as you actually.
Gee Nicole Kidman has certainly changed.
