The Good Shephard
i went to see this last night
it is the slowest, drawn out movie i have ever seen the premise itself is good, i think Damon did a great job but my god, 2 1/2 hours that seems like 5 hours the problem, at times is these guys, in this case DeNiro, make the movie they want instead of a movie the public would want

The Good Shepherd has finally hit NZ so I saw it on the weekend and really liked it.........
yep it is very slowly paced but I was surprised it was 2hrs 40 mins........had to look at my watch a couple of times to adjust.....didn't seem overly ponderous to me and the slow precise pace suited the storyline very well IMHO great performances allround from a stellar cast....possibly with the exception of Angelina Jolie who was definitely miscast........ I was very interested in the subject though and it was good to see so many themes of PostWW2 America contained and personalised in one film... 8 out of 10 from me

I felt the film was abit slow but I liked it. I was interested in that theme.
The bird I took with me was killing me however. She was older the me and had know idea of what the Bay of Pigs was  I had to explain the whole movie to her. Still an interesting flick but yeah... slow
