shooting a movie
they are shooting the new Bourne movie on ym street in NYC
1st off i love movies, in general-so was happy at 1st i loved the Bourne movies and im from Boston-so a huge Matt Damon fan well after 3 days of it and them shuttign down 7th ave for chunck of time on a Saturday afternoon where i have to wait 20-25 minutes just to go into my apartment is a real pain in the ass!!! I understand the City of New York gets alot of money but i just dont know how they can incovenience its citizens

Don't worry, once they got the establishing shoots covered, I'm sure they start doubling NYC up in Toronto.

We have to shuttle our cars around every 2 hours. And to add insult to injury they put on an extra parking enforcement person to ticket people who do not move their cars every 2 hours while the shoot is going on.

About time. The Bourne Movies are among the better ive seen.
Matt Damon is also one of my favorites. Read a lot of Robert Ludlums stuff. Hes a genious. Whats the name of the third movie?

got offered US5k recently for a day shoot in my house.....told em to f@ck off
hired out my appt in Sydney for a 2 day shoot and it took 5......and they left one unholy mess........gaff tape on and gouges in my parquetry floors etc.... Never let em into your house..........never........no matter what they offer!!

I heard similar from a place used in Malibu.. They had a sweeping gone with the wind stairway in the entrance.. They were used for shoots a few times and every time caused damage that was more than just small stuff..

I have been working on the NY part of Bourne for about 4 weeks. I think that you will be quite impressed with the scene that takes place in your neighborhood (although it will be a very quick moment in screen time). They were being a little more cautious with pedestrians because of the car chase stuff. I know its a pain though.
I am new to the board and a huge fan. I will introduce myself when this job finishes up. My connection with Thailand, and thus this board, starts with a film that I worked on in Chiang Mai in November called "American Gangster".
