Commercial Free TV

I've been watching a bit of regular broadcast TV lately. I wanted to catch a few of the premiers in real time. This after years of commercial free tv.

Have to say it makes the shows a lot less enjoyable. You can't get into the story as much. You have to sit there at exactly the time you want you too.

Back to "time shifting for me".

I don't know, I have always loved the commercials -- I mean, lots of 'em are crap, but now and then you get a laugh out loud commercial and that is cool. I must say, I miss them sometimes and always like to see the shows that recap the years best commercials. That said, it is kinda nostalgic to watch the commercials isn't it?

What I really hate, is the stupid idiotic introductions to the movies or TV shows that they show on airplanes! Hi my name is Steve Paquin and I am going to be with you todays.... he buddy, cut to the movie, we don't care!!!!

ps. sorry, I am sure his parents are very proud of him, but they might be the only ones....

You make a good point.

I'm not anti commercial. I just really don't like the way they inturupt. I guess I prefer the way they do it at the movies. Some commercials. You're not sure exactly when it will end so you get there and watch them. Then you watch the movie uninterrupted.

Yes, I agree with that -- in many countries there is a "filler" or buffer between the shows and commercials....this is clearly more audience friendly. Allows you to tune out a little...

can't stand commercials interrupting a decent show I am watching....that's why I watch them all recorded now....I can record up to 3 different shows at the same time so this cancels out Paulie's point about everything being on against each other at either 8.30 or 9.30 at night too
